Can't believe someone actually said that Apple have never used celebrities before. Equally shocking is no one mentioned the Jeff Goldblum ads! They were great.

I like that there are adverts about things other than iPhone. Bring on adverts about iMacs and MacBooks!

then they would have to give the imacs some attention then and do more than release new computer software versions every few years or so

My first impression was "wow this is so not Apple". But who cares? It's a given now that SJ isn't around.

Seems more like a weak Samsung ad.. Looks like Tim really does think "different". Whahey!! haha.

It feels like a "generic" ads, Not liking it. This ads and the recent siri ads, I began wondering which agency responsible for this, is this the same agency that make the mac vs pc ads, cause that was amusing.

I love it when the ads shows apple as the underdog (like the mac vs pc, think different) but that won't be true these days.

I'm very much – and at the same time also not at all surprised that so many people here are so nostalgic and conservative when it comes to a brand that coined the slogan "Think different".

Some of you guys need to stop being so negative. I'm seriously sick of Steve's passing being used an excuse for stuff you don't like, too. Some of you need to grow up

Seriously, these commercials were cute ;)

Those were really good ads haha

The Genius had genuine charisma, I think he did good :)

These are great. It's definitely the start of the next "Get a Mac" campaign by Apple.

Tuck

Forget the haters here! These ads were very warm and charming, and represent a quality Apple experience through their products and services!

This is Apple making a push before Windows 8 comes out! Microsoft is going to hemorrhage market share with that looming disaster. Apple is already circling and ready to pounce

Well timed and well done Apple :)

:apple:

They are also a bit of a throwback to the 'Get a Mac' ads featuring Justin Long and John Hodgman. By emphasizing the personal aspects of Apple's services, it appears that the company is looking to humanize itself and make it less about the products and more about the entire Apple ecosystem, including the personal services offered at the Apple Retail Stores including the Genius Bar and One-to-One training service.
First of all, the humour is terrible. Secondly, the adverts are probably quite misleading. Why didn't they just have similar scenarios but in an Apple store? Why not actually just show off the Genius Bar?

How are the adverts emphasing the personal aspects of Apple's services? Does this mean if I'm ever in a situation like any of the ones in the adverts I can count on Apple to send a genius my way to help me out? Because all I know is Apple is one of a few companies that don't offer any form of on-site support here unless you're a business customer.

Apple's commercials have been getting more and more bland over the last few years but these have to be their worst yet. It's like they deliberately tried to make them as generic and unhip as possible. A high school intern could have created more interesting commercials.

Were they...

- cool? Nope.
- different/edgy? Nope.
- funny? Nope.
- informative? Nope.

If Apple continues along this path, they'll slowly lose their status as hip & cool. I'd rather watch an AARP commercial.
