Removing the Mag Safe connector would be a stupid decision, imo. It's a great safety feature that keeps your computer safe in case someone trips over the cord. Why would they remove that and make us use USB-C to charge, intoducing the potential to seriously damage your Macbook??

Yeah. We've been here before (looks at single-port MacBook). There's no way this is not happening. Best go get your iMac now.

to slim down the chassis... will be controlled entirely through Siri
Lol.

I never understood why a company should compensate for a user's clumsiness. It just never made sense. Then I remember that a general population exists.

I've checked the HDD multiple times and the tests always show it as being "fine"

I have had bad drives pass hardware tests.

Actually, my Late 2012 iMac kept having issues. From the symptoms I was convinced it was an issue with the Fusion Drive. Every time I took it to the Apple Store, the iMac passed all their hardware diagnostic tests. They would erase the drive, only to have the problem creep back a few weeks later. One time, they even kept it for a week to do an extended test, but it passed.

12 days before my Apple Care was going to expired, it fully broke. So bad that it would not boot into internet recovery mode, and it took a few hours for the Apple Store to boot it up with their HW test software.

Needless to say, it finally failed their test. They replaced the HDD.

My point is, you can't always trust those hardware tests. I had other bad HDDs pass the Disk First Aid tests on my other Macs too.

ipad pro needs a bump, praying they throw in mid series lineup with a10x
I would be thrilled for in-house CPU's. It's an odd enough update timetable between Intel's roadmap and this release that I wouldn't totally out rule it.

FINALLY! I know I'm going to pick up a maxed out 15" MBP...and I just might pull the trigger on a new 27" iMac too!

Mark my words. New IMac Gaming Pro! Apple achieve this with partnership with Microsoft and bring Directx to the Mac. :D Ah... sorry wrong reality. :p

Uh, well, except for the larger screen, better CPU, option of discreet GPU, 4 USB-C connectors that support Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1, ability to run two external 4K monitors, a whole lot more RAM and larger hard drive and likely some more stuff that has not been anticipated.

highly unlikely new 15" will offer dedicated GPUs. they're already limited to the highest end model on the present models, and if they make them thinner, even less forgiving of a thermal package. current mobile gpus can run cool, but not that cool.

my money is on iGPUs across the entire MacBook lineup.

Hopefully the new macs will use Apple CPUs. But I doubt it since there would be leaks.

i believe this will happen, but not for a while yet. they've been testing these waters with the low-end imac and mini offerings to see how people will react to a machine that has a significantly lower clock rate than "market" PCs.
they'd probably be just fine for the regular mac user in 2016 but pros will lose their minds.

Leaks as far as images of the chassises of these devices are concerned. The MacBook Pro and Air could use some radical new innovations. I'm led to believe there's a lot to come.

The Pro is still a relatively good form factor, which just needs some decent spec bumps. The Air however, they need to leave alone ... it's the entry level model. In fact I expect the 2012 MBP to be discontinued and the MBA to take it's place as the last legacy port entry-level MacBook. The only change they will make is updating the ports to USB-C. However, I do wonder if they will leave some legacy ports. Maybe something like this:

So will apple supply us all with USB-c to lightning cables so we can connect our iPhone and iPads?
Let alone losing magsafe which is probably one of the best innovations for laptop safety.
And the SD card reader? I think many people will miss that from photographers to those of us who use it for extra storage because the machines are notoriously difficult to upgrade.
So, more accessories to buy and remember to carry with us always. and less compatibility with just about everything else on the market. hmmm
Not cool with me....

The reason there haven't been any leaks on new products (except the possible oled function key row on the mythical MBP) is clear:

Leaks of Apple products are generated by Apple to keep the rumor mill churning and interest high. They aren't "leaks" but carefully crafted Apple teases.

Here's Razer's newly released Razer Blade:

Keep in mind this is utilizing a 14" screen. This new Razer Blade incorporates a Quad-core CPU and Nvidia's latest GTX1060 GPU, all in a form-factor that's smaller than the 15" MBP. So if Razer can do it, definitely Apple should be able to do it.

Time once again to decipher the hidden meaning behind the graphic....

I'm seeing smoke and combustion/plasma of rare metals.
Everything about the graphic says HOT!

This can only mean a 6.5 ghz Mac Pro with liquid nitrogen cooling, and a 5.5 ghz Mac Mini. That's my bet.

Not sure what it means but to me it looks like the "powder" that is on the stock background options for the iPhone 7s.
