That's your prerogative, not mine.

Not even remotely close to the point I was making, nor does an "Apple user" apply to my statement. I'm simply saying it doesn't matter what somebody else thinks what you wear, regardless of the AirPods or any other pair of headphones, it doesn't matter. Again, insecurity is prevalent for those who judge others based on what they wear for headphones. Period.

Zero relevance to the actual topic. Nor am I interested in discussing frivolous tangents.

You made a statement no one cares about thier form factor , I said I did, and you dismissed me .

See my point ? You are doing the same to others .

Form factor and Apple is very very relevant ! If you were a long time user , you would understand this , hence my question is very relevant. Just cause you do not understand the question , does not make it a frivolous statement .

How about Letting people have thier opinions without telling they are wrong or irrelevant . We all started from your statement , maybe reread it.... and see how it comes across ?

In summary : I love my AirPods and they look dorky, live with it ;)

Relax and have a good weekend mate.

If you never test them dont speak...because you embarrass yourself

Really? I've never tested them and never will. Unless they bring out a model that never needs charging.

I get Bluetooth headphones and other than the 'convenience' of not having to plug them in I have the inconvenience of having to charge them. With these Airpods I have the added benefit of being able to loose them independently of each other.

Sure just as you are able to lose your phone, wallet, keys just as easily. The case is there so you don't lose them.

People that loose these are just as likely to lose anything else.

and in terms of charging? mine barely needs to be charged once a week at most

I’d say 9/10 times I’ve thought I saw AirPods on someone, they were just wired ones and I wasn’t yet close enough to see that they were wired.

I don’t wear mine out that much, but that’s a lack of opportunity rather than being worried about strange looks.

For one, I don’t think they look that strange, the wire went away but otherwise they’re the same. They look far better than 1980s style big cans that have become popular. Finally, they’re in my ear so I can’t see what I look like ;)

I will continue to use my cabled earbuds. I never have to worry about charging and they cost a lot less. I wrap them in a little strip of velcro and the cable never gets twisted or tangled.
Saving money is not a crime.
I’m an artist and I’m poor—er, frugal—er, "differently monied".

But I don’t skimp on my tools. And it’s hard to cut, paint, stitch, draw, print, compute, and otherwise manipulate materials and move all around my studio while tethered to a cable.

I rejoice and thank the technology gods for Bluetooth! And thank Apple for the AirPods and their seamless, hassle-free operation.

Also when you take them in for issues, they will replace either of the buds or the unit. Got my left bud replaced

It’s funny. I’m willing to drop more than $1000 on an iPhone X but not another $159 in addition to that on AirPods. I’d love to have a pair but I just know that I’m going to lose one or both of them. I might as well take $160 and light it on fire.

How well does “Find My AirPods” work? I have enough trouble keeping track of my Apple TV remote, iPhone and Apple Watch. I wish Apple would use Bluetooth to allow users to have the iPhone emit an audio tone if you’re looking for one of those other devices and are near it but can’t see it.

You can get individual replacements, though yes, a few times I thought I lost mine

You made a statement no one cares about thier form factor , I said I did, and you dismissed me .

It appears others disagree with you. And yet you still didn't read the past post to even make this Statement in first place, because if you had, then you would known that I quoted the form number listed below. That should make more sense to you since I'm having to redirect your original post.

Still not understanding how they sell that well based on form facto alone. They’re hideous.

Form factor and Apple is very very relevant

So you're saying you're concerned on how you look with your AirPods, but you like them overall but the factor matters to you what other people think. Again, I'm not concerned with others insecurity based on what somebody wears for headphones. For you it might be, for others it's not.

If you were a long time user , you would understand this.

Poor assertion. But I'm not going to entertain your off-topic antics.

You How about Letting people have thier opinions without telling they are wrong or irrelevant

Incorrect, you're certainly entitled to your opinion's, which no one is prohibiting you otherwise. However, I am correct in saying that you're off topic tangents are irrelevant contrary to the actual points I made earlier. The issue is, that you didn't read the previous post quotes, therefore you're misconstruing and conflating two different things. So please, reread the previous post before commenting in this discussion. Thanks.

Such a dumb strategy imo

Two charge cases? For one set of AirPods?

Then again, I don’t understand a lotta modern apple logic so not that surprising

Users are used to buying dongles, it’s just a case ;)

Fair enough. Have a good weekend. Misunderstanding

No. That goes to the magic keyboard.

That was this year ?

To be honest I love the new iPad Pro 10.5, though that is an evolution and the AirPods are new

Another news article playing on Apple’s hype of running out. These are available at almost every major retailer in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis) including Best Buy and target. Definitely not running out for Christmas. I’m sure every other major city is just like mine. Don’t panic because you’re read something like this.

just EarPods without wires and with the same mediocre sound. I picked up a pair of Studio 2s for a little more than the price of AirPods but they don’t look stupid and they sound amazing.
AirPods sound quite a bit better than the regular EarPods to me. As for the Studio 2s – aren't they Over-Ear headphones? What kind of comparison is that?

i hope for a gen 2 that has
- more colors options
- adjust volume from them by slide up or down
- bluetooth 5 but this is not a must have for a gen 2 since the current one has a very stable connection

My guess space grey is not far away...but for $30 extra.
Why? Because they can.

I saw this on their website but headed to the store anyway at opening on Friday. They only had about 9 pairs sitting on the shelves and I managed to grab one. It was an expected date of Jan. 4 when I checked online that morning. Even if a store says it doesn’t have them, try to go the next day right when they open.

Idk they’re both headphones, I thought it was a fair comparison. That’s interesting that they sound better than EarPods, I assumed it was the same tech but with a W2 chip.

You act like walking around with bulky pair of Beats don’t look ridiculous?
In my opinion those little white things sticking out of ears can look really weird. Especially with some people’s ear shape where they’re sticking out at 40 degree angle instead of being flat against the head. Yeah, wearing white antennae looks sci-fi and weirder than traditional headphones in my opinion.

We need a MacRumors Buyer's Guide for the AirPods.

If I were a betting man I'd say wait until the refresh sometime early next year.

Reading this article as I have my glorious 'pods in my ears. They're pretty good, and the more people have them, the the more the whole "popularity" factor increases.

I'm a little pissed at a few anecdotal occurrences of misconnections / faulty connections to the phone through.
