Apple Issues Invitations for October 4th iPhone Media Event

I upgraded from a 3GS to a 4. There were clear advantages to the upgrade with both hardware and software (exclusive to the 4).

To be honest - I don't see me upgrading from the 4 to 4S/5 as I don't need more space, the apps/use case for my phone is fine and don't really need anything new at this time either. Even if it's NFC enabled - that's not enough to get me to upgrade.

Not a knock at all on the next generation - but I will probably skip this iteration.
 
Hey guys how about this : The iPhone Icon has one new notification (one iPhone notification?) Ring any bells, huh?
 
Apple's iPhone events have become my new Christmas Eve with launch day my new Christmas! :)
 
I'm not buying one this year.......I'm buying TWO.

My wife likes my iPhone 4 so much (she's still on a dumb phone) that I'm selling my iPhone 4 and getting two of the new model. All year I said I wouldn't upgrade this year, and I'm already caught up in the excitement. Can't wait to pre-order.

That's what normal people do. I am on 3GS and eyeing the 5, will skip the 6 and then jump on the 7.
 
I think 1 means just to emphasize the fact that apple has something very important thing to say.. like always in their events.

well i may be wrong but i don't want to do some weird math problems to figure out the MYSTERY :eek:

got iPhone 4 last year and this will only be a 4s, so i'll get me a 5 next year :) haha suckrz.
and has anyone ever thought maybe the 1 is just for frisking decoration?
you guys look way too much into stuff! you will find out october 4th!
but if anyone wants to buy an iPhone 4 for $400 let me know

No way I'm gonna wait that long!!! :mad: The keynote is just 6 days, 23h and 34 minutes and 22 secs away! No wait, it's 33 minutes and 45 seconds. No ... Gaaaaahhhh :)

This actually is one of the more useful :apple: related Fanboy sites around, just like http://istheapplestoredown.com.
Contrary to a site named isstevejobsdead.com (or similar). And it just replied with nothing else than a short "Nope." I know, it's not really appropriate.

295 / Ten AM minute hand (12) = 24.6

24.6 / Ten AM second hand (12) = 2.0

So this means that there will be 2.0 Models released. The iPhone 4s and the iPhone 5.

I think that Apple created a random invitation that has no meaning to the introduction and is laughing hysterically as we sit here and pick it apart to guess what is coming. iPhone 4S or iPhone 5...Maybe it won't be called that at all. Maybe it will be the iPhone XL or the iPhone V...to match Mac OS X.

Maybe they are announcing that Samsung has won and they are leaving the phone business :p

Where are the guesses like:
  • Could the 4 icons mean the new one will have a quad core processor?
  • The first letter of each icon name is CCMP... maybe "Can't Copy My Phone". Perhaps with all the legal action, the copy cats won't be able to duplicate the design of this one.
  • Etc

Com'on you hidden meaning people. What do the icon shadows mean? Why a second hand on the clock. Why isn't the pin actually in the loop instead of in the center of the road? Why the green diagonal stripes behind the phone?

You can't have a "new invitation" thread without at least 500 posts deciphering the secret, hidden meaning. To be done in <100 means something is wrong.;)

Haha, I always love reading the posts like that. Sme of them are so outlandish and huge stretches, but they're so entertaining.

I noticed this too and I hope we're right about this. Just one iPhone...the iPhone 5.
