Confirming earlier reports

No Apple even confirms earlier reports. Because most reports are just wild guesses at best. What they do is confirm the ability of some people to guess a random date that just happens to be the same one as Apple chooses.

Pure random luck.

Can we please stop with this 4S nonsense?

DOES MACRUMORS UNDERSTAND that no what the frigging screen size is, it's still going to be called the iPhone 5?????????????

Hoping for a 4S, aren't you?:D

Ok, here's a new one! Look at the pin on the map icons, now look at its shadow. it's in a different way the the icons! That means there's 2 suns, wich means there will be 2 iPhones!! AHA!

Here's what I'm thinking of doing. The Galaxy S2 releases on AT&T on the 2nd, pick that up as I've been wanting to try an android device and this seems to be the best phone that's out there right now, wait to hear what's coming the 4th, if it's worth it to stay with apple, then I'll still be in my 14 day trial to ditch the S2. If it's not and the S2 will still whip it, I'm good to go.

really people?

clock shows 10AM = events at 10AM
calendar shows Oct 4 = events on Oct 4
the map shows Apple's location = where the event is
the phone icon = they're talking about phone.

Thanks for totally missing the obvious qualification, "It could be related to the date and time of the event...".

If I'm right, we might get actual useful widgets. If I'm not, then we get Weather and Stocks on a page off to the side. (Sorry Apple, I don't care a flip about stocks. I'm pretty sure most of your users don't care either.)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

I am going to assume that there will only be one new phone. Ie the #1 on the phone icon

Maybe the badge number on the phone icon is symbolic of Apple is raising 1 middle finger high informing Samsung they are #1.

Maybe you just go about it wrong. Like I said I'm just stating my observations based on your posts. I probably just haven't seen the post where you've had healthy discussions and don't sound like a ten year old, or maybe the ten year old-esque posts overshadow when you actually do have healthy discussions.

I don't consider myself an Apple fanboy either, in fact I don't even have an iPhone, I'm still trudging along with my original Droid and come upgrade time I will be getting another android phone.

I tend to counter those who feel the need to register for an Apple board and then insult people who actually like Apple. While I hate android fanboys more then anything, I don't have any accounts at any droid site where I'm there to tell them how stupid their OS is, and how stupid Google is. It just screams...dumb.

I don't insult the people who like Apple products or make fun of OSX or iOS. I poke fun at the irrational fanboys and the utter nonsense that is sometimes posted here. Like one user here claiming that Steve Jobs is the next most important person in the country next to the President. Or the ones who would camp out to by the new iPhone even there were no changes. Or the ones who can't make a positive post about anything except Apple. Etc, etc. I try to sound like the exact opposite of these types of users when I reply to them. And I don't personally insult anyone. And I certainly mean no offense to the many excellent contributors here.

The 1 on the phone icon doesn't mean there's one iPhone. It refers to the number of bullets in a gun chamber.

That's right...

Tim Cook is going to play Russian Roulette live on stage.

All we know is....he's called The Stig!
"some .... say ..............."
