Are you being serious?

We've already seen the completed phones, built and packaged. We've even seen the manual and SIM removal tool.

Remember teardrop-gate? "It's still gioing to be totally redesigned man! I just know it in my heart!"

Never let reality keep a good fanboy down.

There is nothing to look forward for this event. There have been so many leaks. We have seen the colors, the package, the specs. The only thing we don't know is the price and maybe the release date.
Tim Cook has really doubled down on security..

With a device that has the sales of this magnitude, it's really impossible to keep it a secret, especially obviously with the internet.

The ONLY way they could do this is actually not start production at all and not give any blueprints or details to Foxconn and announce the phone at their event, show pictures and everything else and then say it's coming 3 months later.

Honestly, I'd be fine with that. I'd rather have say an announcement in early June and phone released in Sept.

Now, has anyone seen the motherboard? The Battery? the glass? the 'sapphire home button?' Nope. nuff said. Apple's secrecy is working very well.
This. Amazing that people think the leaks haven't been by design. If these were real leaks, there's no reason we wouldn't see any parts other than the rear shell (or in the case of 5C - the front which is no different than the 5). This close to the announcement, there must be millions of already completely built phones. Real leaks would have shown the entire phone, inside and out. Apple doesn't give a rat's ass about leaks of the rear shell - all the better if it serves as a red herring from the more important changes. What have we really seen of the new phones? Not that much.

Credit card at ready for iPhone 5S. I know it probably won't be the biggest iPhone upgrade in iPhone history, but my wife has my iPhone 5 right now and don't want an Android phone.

What's wrong with your 32GB Verizon iPhone 5?

I still prefer cambookpro's design.

My bank account is ready. :D

That image reminds me of this:

Despite the numerous box shots, What if it really is going to be called the "iPhone light"?

It would certainly brighten everyones day? :D

So you have to be long time MacRumors user to have an opinion on Apple products? Okay, I'll keep that in mind.

Not at all, and that's not what I said.

In the last 4 years or so, it's become commonplace to see new members complaining about Apple stuff and assuming the tone of someone who has been around the site for a while. That started around the time the Android-iOS fanboy wars really took off. Coincidence? Maybe, but it seems more likely that a lot of Android fans are eager to come here and pose as disgruntled Apple users. If you're not one, my apologies, but you come off like it.

It's funny. Even back in the early 2000s, when the big focus was Mac-vs-Windows, MR didn't have a lot of Microsoft fanboys here p*****g in the pool. Android fanboy trolls must be a different breed.

What I have gathered from all of this so far, is that Tim Cook HAS doubled down on secrecy. With the huge amount of "leaks" about the 5C keeping the news/blog sites feathers ruffled about the 5C, something new and amazing is being completely overlooked. ;)

Based on the comments on this site I sure hope its been Android trolls and not real Apple customers. People complaining about every little freaking thing . It's hard to take really.

What about 1st party translucent thin shell cases (in a million colours)?

Combo them with your base colour and it could give it a fun facelift!

Sold in rainbow packs of 5.

Just a random / wild thought.

...
It is. Thanks.
seconded.

No, I think people are more interested in what's likely to happen more than they are concerned with whether or not things are provable "facts". The people who were thinking there would be an event on September 10th were acting in a far more logical and reasonable way than the people who sit around saying "We don't know anything until Apple personally emails us all about it!!"

Actually no. Logical would be saying "The September even is highly plausible because of all the rumours that have come about it but it's still not confirmed by Apple". It's confirmed now though by Apple.

Being hyped by rumours and thinking they have a good chance to come true is ok, and that's what this website macrumours is all about. The illogical thing is confusing rumours with fact. So your previous statement agreed with me, but this one in a way does not. But now you know what the logical thing is.

but they are very behind in the market, and nothing here looks like they will gain ANY ground. Color is innovative? Double Flash will set the market oin their ears? Get over it, Apple is so far back.

Who is in front of the market? What are the REALLY NEW and IMPORTANT features that others have that Apple doesn't? And please don't mention NFC, because this hasn't and isn't gaining any traction anywhere. I will give you screen size, but this is more a form factor than anything else.

I'm not arguing Apple is in front, but this is a mature market in terms of technology and incremental improvements are the likely things we can expect.

1080P display, better camera, a usable OS doesn't take thousands steps to do a simple task...yeah... They are fall behind the market
