this invitation looks dull. Looks to me Apple quickly put it together the last minute.

I have a job interview on Thursday, and if I get it, I'll be treating myself to a 5C and ridding myself of the (not terrible, but lacking) Nexus 4. The pricing schemes are going to be interesting. If Apple plays it like usual, the iPhone 5C will be like $80 less than the 5S and we'll all be scratching our heads as to where the savings went. If the iPhone 5S is $600, I'd bet my bottom dollar (or pound) that the iPhone 5C will come it at $500 (+). Maybe, it could be $450. Somehow, though, I just don't see it happening.

5C

C is the 3rd number of the alphabet, 3 + 5 = 8 + 10th september = 18

25 dots on the invite poster

25 - 18 = 7 = ios 7

i = 9th number
o = 15th
s = 19th

9 + 15 = 24

24 - 19 = 5

iOS is 3 letters so 3 in the alphabet is C which means

5C!

:eek:

The Masons, Knights Templar, and Illuminati are nothing compared to the secret power of Apple!

You're in the minority.
Doesn't matter. This isn't a democracy.
If up to 49% of potential customers have second thoughts, Apple will hear us.

The whole universe will hear us.
I feel the exact same way. I think iOS 7 looks like absolute crap. I like the new features, but I hate the look. It's almost as if Apple is trying to make everything look ugly now.
He who can destroy a thing, controls a thing.
Let's join forces to destroy the look of iOS7.

There is ONLY so much you can do with the iPhone now...most developments and big changes have been implemented. Only thing they can really do is make it thinner and smaller or bigger screen. And many will complain about either.

Like I said in a post above, the next big thing is going to be the iPhone morphing into another device like the Watch. Just like the iPod morphed into the iPhone and the iPod/iPhone into the iPad, etc.

Yeah, when I got the iPhone 5, I was like "This is finally just about everything I could want in a phone." So it's hard to come up with new features. I think the digital wallet would be killer, and perhaps the fingerprint scanner is a step in that direction.

I would like a bigger screen, but not by much. Perhaps 4.3" or 4.5". I'm not a big fan of the 16:9 ratio. I would like websites to actually be wider when I'm browsing them in portrait, and in landscape the height is so short that the larger website is really lost and harder to browse in many cases. My hope is that Apple will make the iPhone 6 around 4.5", and the C models will remain 4". I personally know several girls who are planning on getting the C models. While it isn't always true that women care less about tech than men, it is often the case. I could see the C models targeting women with a smaller size (my wife could literally not fit a bigger phone into her pocket—the 4" iPhone 5 screen is already pushing it vs. her previous iPhone 4), as well as coming in fashionable colors with lower-end tech specs that many women couldn't care less about. My wife is a smart lady, but honestly when it comes to phones she always says "I want it to be pretty and cheap." so perhaps my perspective is biased by her? I had to convince her to get the iPhone 5 with a nice purple case because she only upgrades her phone every 3-4 years and it would last her longer. She only had the iPhone 4 because it was my old one that I gave her. Before that it was candy bar and flip phones.

As for the iWatch, I don't know if the iPhone will ever actually morph into that. I see it more as an accessory. Nobody wants to hold their arm up all day. If it was more like a flexible display that snaps to the arm, then snaps off and straightens out to use like a little mini-tablet sheet, that would be pretty crazy. But the tech for that is at least 10 years away, if not more. In the interim, I see iWatch being more of an accessory to the iPhone—and I'm going to buy the hell out of it!

Can't wait, but I fear it won't live up to expectations.......

I am looking forward to it, simply because I want a new Apple toy! I'm in and I like being there, that's all there is to it, I'll let everyone else argue over what is or isn't game changing and worth announcing. I'll just be buying as soon as I can. :)

I don't want crazy colors, but if there is a champagne model, I wouldn't mind that, as long as it looks sleek.

I love poking my nose back on here regularly to read all the posts, love the humor and the theories, very entertaining.

As to the bashers and trolls…

On that I can only speak from personal experience…when I had a Palm phone and switched to an Android, there were people in both fan clubs that attacked me over it. Then when I switched from an Android phone to the iPhone, the only bashing that occurred was by Android fans….the Apple fans never carried on about it.

As a matter of fact, they made me feel very welcome on their forums….go figure!

It's made me wonder why the users of other platforms have to be so nasty and defensive?!?

Just food for thought! :)

Great day to all!

So what do you exactly want?

A bigger screen...oooo that is game changing.

We're getting the NFC and Fingerprint scanner. That is pretty big and something the other phones out there don't have/or that work properly.

There is only so much you can do with the mobile phone now..without it morphing into a new product...like the iWatch.

In terms of the iPod, you are looking at it's life from 2001 to about 2009 when people started moving away from it to the iPhone. Sure they are still making it, but most now have just an iPhone and no iPod at all.

You'll probably see the same thing with the phone as we move away from it and to some new form of communication device.

I'm just saying, complaining about nothing new is like complaining about cars. They do the same thing every year with pretty much the same features and a new design every 5-6 years.

My problem isn't lack of new features. I am more concerned with how the phone looks and feels. I loved the original iPhone all the way up to the 4S, but I was never a big fan of the iPhone 5 design and since I know the 5S will be the same, it doesn't interest me. The same thing has happened with iOS. Loved iOS 1-6. Don't like iOS 7 at all. I'm not someone who looks for the best features in phones, I just want to love the product I'm using. And from what I've seen, I'm not going to love anything Apple show off at this event.

Not at all, and that's not what I said.

In the last 4 years or so, it's become commonplace to see new members complaining about Apple stuff and assuming the tone of someone who has been around the site for a while. That started around the time the Android-iOS fanboy wars really took off. Coincidence? Maybe, but it seems more likely that a lot of Android fans are eager to come here and pose as disgruntled Apple users. If you're not one, my apologies, but you come off like it.

It's funny. Even back in the early 2000s, when the big focus was Mac-vs-Windows, MR didn't have a lot of Microsoft fanboys here p*****g in the pool. Android fanboy trolls must be a different breed.

All I did was give my opinion on the upcoming event. I've been a fan of Apple products ever since someone gave me an eMac back in 2005, and since then pretty much all my computers/mobile devices have been Apple products. I don't consider myself a fanboy of any sort but if i were one I'm probably more likely to be called an Apple fanboy. And I didn't make my earlier post to get a reaction out of people, I just saw other people talking about how excited they were about the event, so I decided to point out the reasons that I'm not excited.

No, it just mean's your opinion is in the minority.

And why exactly did you feel the need to tell me my opinion was in the minority?

Apple has also been reported to be launching new iPad and iPad mini models later this year, but they will not be making an appearance at this event. A number of Mac updates are also expected in the coming months, but they too are likely to held for a later date in order to give full focus for this event to the iPhone.

So everything I'm waiting for probably won't be introduced until later this year? Oh well :(

I hope the event will be shown live via Apple TV/Macs/iDevices, similar to WWDC Keynote
