5C 0$ on contract? That's wishful thinking imho. From what I have deducted the 5C will be quite similar to the iPhone 5 so a 99$ on contract along with a 99$ on contract for the iPhone 5 would be a more realistic scenario I think, maybe even discontinuation of the iPhone 5? But that's a guess.
The iPhone 6 will be round. That way one can keep it in your rear jeans pocket and it will look like a can of chewing tobacco.

Do you really think Apple will continue to sell a phone with a 3.5 inch screen and 30-pin connector as their 0$ with contract option? Doubt it.
No its not. There will be a free with contract phone and it will be the entry-level iPhone 5C. Thats for sure. The iPhone 5 will disappear, because you said it, its quite similar to the iPhone 5C. And Apple is kind of done with selling last years phone.
I will take the blame, if I am wrong on this.

I would imagine Apple wants more physical differentiation between 'lower-end' and the flagship. With the 5C the 5 is neither here nor there.

iPhone 5c is in no place to replace 5 because it's inferior to 5. iPhone 5c may just replace iPhone 4 and/or going away iPhone 4s, so it may use A5 or A5x chip instead of A6 in iPhone 5. Who would want to buy a 5c as mid tier phone ($549 or $99 subsidized)? Apple wants to win market shares, so it doesn't make sense to make a "budget" phone only $100 cheaper. iPhone 5 still blows iPhone 5c away on every spec, so why would I want 5c if I can get iPhone 5 at the same price?
I would say there may be only one version of iPhone 5c:
16GB iPhone 5c: $449 or free w contract and available only 1 version. Want 32GB? Go for iPhone 5.
32GB/64GB iPhone 5: $549/$649 or $99/$199 w contract
32/64/128GB iPhone 5s: $649/$749/$849 or $199/$299/$399 w contract
What makes you think they won't? Between increased competition (that is starting to take their market share), the decreasing cost of storage and the iPad now having a 128GB option available there is nothing pointing toward Apple keeping it around.
Also, if Apple wants to get real with a 'low-cost' iPhone that won't cannibalize the sales of the premium iPhone, a la iPhone 5S, then they need to make sure the iPhone 5S is elite... Offering a larger storage capacity would emphasize the iPhone 5S is a more luxurious product than the iPhone 5C.
Not if they're not going to release the rMBP update!
Come on Apple, I've been waiting for months. Release the damn thing already so I can get rid of the my crappy thinkpad+Linux combo I have to use at the moment.

I also think the iPhone 5 will be going away. I think Apple is making changes so they can have 2 iPhones at all times - the lower end and the flagship. This year it will be the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S.
For those of us with a 5 iOS 7 will be the highlight. After the show I'll look forward to the iPhone 6 rumors though seeing as my contract will be up in time for the 6
... and don't forget that if you count all the individual pieces of info on the invite (including dots over the i's and the punctuation) it totals 60
iOS7 should make my 5 feel like a new phone.... right?
