Has nobody noticed this??

Oh my god, I can't believe no-one has spotted what's so blindingly obvious!!!! That fashionable young poontang is holding the 4'' Apple Tablet and listening to her email arrive!!!!!

Also, the 'rock and roll' in the tagline refers to how everything on the Tablet is performed by either rocking the device or rolling it along the carpet!!!

Can't believe you missed it. I bet you all thought it was an iPod!!?? Fools!!!!!!!!!
:apple:

why would anyone buy the Beatles on ITunes? anyone who listens to them probably already has them on CD

i've read that the current CDs/recordings will be discontinued in favour of the new remasters.

i'm looking forward to the new, cleaned up Sgt. Pepper CD--i hear it sounds great on newer equipment.

in case no one noticed, Sept. 9th is also when The Beatles' remastered back catalogue is due to be released; along with 'The Beatles: Rock Band' video game.

this is too much of a coincidence to me.

i'm speculating that Steve Jobs will appear on stage with someone from Apple Corps. and announce The Beatles on iTunes; also wouldn't surprise me if Paul and/or Ringo shows up just to glam things up. I'm guessing they left the new iTunes out of Snow Leopard for this reason.

so this is what i'm looking out for:

  • refreshed iPod line.
  • peace agreement between Apple Corps. and Apple Inc.
  • The Beatles on iTunes.
  • 64-bit iTunes.
I am in agreement with this totally. I am looking out for exactly the same things. The best would be the 64bit itunes though.

Just to answer anyone's question, NO, you cannot get the new iPods for free with a Mac :p

We'll see iTunes 9 support but without PPC coding.
Not true. What we will see is the Mac getting two versions, one for Snow Leopard and one for Tiger+Leopard. The Snow Leopard version will be a total rewrite so it can take advantage of all that the OS and hardware has to offer.

Shuffle- nixed
Nano- camera added
Classic- no changes maybe a price drop
iPod Touch-Camera and 64gb

The shuffle is not going anywhere. I don't necessarily expect to see updates to it at this event since it was just updated a few months ago.

If the classic survives, I expect it will get a camera. And a price drop of $50 would not surprise me.

The touch is being moved toward more of a multimedia device. Wouldn't be surprised to see a camera and video. No 3G or GPS, though. (It will never have 3G, for that matter)

-----------------------

Also, it appears a peace offering happened 3 years ago.

Here's some eye candy from a few months ago [via appleinsider]

Mark my words, September the 9th will see an updated line-up of iMacs featuring -

Processor/Ram/HD/Graphics bump
New backlit keyboard with black keys AND multitouch pad
Blu-ray player as standard, rewriter as optional extra
Matte screen option
Lower prices

....then I wake up and realise I dreamt it all...

Looking forward to a 64-bit Cocoa version of iTunes! The current version of iTunes just feels out of place in Snow Leopard.

AppleTV software update 3.0, please. Stop shoving the iTunes store in my face and allow me to easily access my local and networked media without burying it in the menu. And sprinkle some of that Snow Leopard optimizations on the latest update, it's hella slow.

Time to retire the scroll wheel, or make it an option to go virtual for the old-timers when you make all iPods with a full-size LED/OLED display.

I also don't see anything wrong with combining the full-featured design of the iPod touch with the hard drive sizes of the iPod Classic. iPod touch with 320GB or 500GB hard drive? Sweetness.

iTunes 9, please. My library of iPhone applications is making my iMac like it's dragging its heels through the mud. Overall, it's just as slow as my AppleTV 2.4.

Lastly, give me some incentive to drop my cable TV provider. Maybe my math is no good, but I still can't justify $3 per Lost episode. How about renting TV episodes? I know I'm not going to watch them repeatedly. Hell, throw in advertising that I'll pay to remove.

Yes, please -- to all of this.

Don't any of you guys know how to read into Apple invites?

It's clear to me that the invite is explicitly telling us Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be serving lobster rolls to all invited guests.

Nothing to do with iTunes, iPods, Apple TV or any other music/video device. Duh!

We'll see iTunes 9 support but without PPC coding.

Then I guess I'd be sticking with version 8, since I have no plans to move my iTunes database off my PM G4. But then again I could give a hang about "social networking," in iTunes or anywhere else.

Oh. There will be Beatles. Maybe not a huge production made about their availability...but they will be in the iTunes store on 9.9.09.

If The Beatles become available on iTunes, there will be a huge production made about it.

Maybe the last year before we see an all flash memory line-up and the death of the click wheel.

All you collectors out there had better stock up.

The future is touch.

Then give us a touch wheel please. The current iPod Touch music interface is really awkward.

I miss Apple Computer.

Me too. :(
