Looks like the Galaxy Note lol

It's really sickening how Apple keeps selling the 16GB model... Literally thats such a joke. Same goes with the iPhone and iPad...

WE still use the Shuffle at the gym but can see that going bye-bye once the Apple Watch is independent of the iPhone.

Did you notice something odd in these pictures? Like the volume buttons in picture above? They suddenly appear in the other side in the next picture, why the home button appears to be a Touch ID button? Why the horrible iPhone lines? a redisign in sight?

Because it's sloppy work. They made a mistake and used the wrong image.

Nano should get a fresh new OS, but overall its a nice iPod update. Wasn't expecting anything bigger than colours, but the A8 touch is a great improvement.

Not sure who still buys the iPod touch since iPhones are really cheap secondhand (iPhone 4S is still more convenient to have over this touch I think). When I was 13 I bought an iPod touch because the iPhone was too expensive (3G had just come out and the previous gen wasn't even available in my country). My 13-year-old sister now has an iPhone 4 and an iPad (from school)... How times have changed!

YES SIR!

Very glad that Apple did this update and even used the latest CPU.
I'm pretty sure, this new iPod Touchwill be a dream running iOS 9 :)

Getting a 128GB refurb model.

Except the engineering effort to make this board for a 4-inch device. There's no way they're only making this only for the iPod touch when it doesn't even make a difference in their earnings each quarter.

Hmm, I would like to believe you :)

But the A8 board is one thing, the device another....The biggest cost would be changing the device, not the board.

Maybe the A-series is designed that with minimal effort an A5 is replaced by an A8....

Hmmm, I just 'upgraded' my iPod touch 5g with an iPhone 5c (used).
Got sick of how badly the touch ran ios8.

I love these iPod touches and might have to pick up another (1st gen, 4th gen, and 5th gen already)
It is going to be impressively fast and hopefully the camera is equally as good.

Can't beat the small thin, light design..love them.
Wish it had Touch ID though.

Wonder if my wife can tell the difference between the new model and the last one...might be lucky. :p

yup not buying one... but I just don't get why some people (those with Iphones) still get an Ipod..just saying...

For me, I imagine I'll get an updated iPod touch sometime because everything about it is considerably better than my iPhone at a crazy low price.

I am utterly disgusted with Apple. The iPod touch received a really good update today and I'm glad for iPod Touch buyers, but they couldn't have insulted Nano and Shuffle users more.

I will pay $70 for a refurbished 5th gen Nano before I pay $150 for a 16GB music player in 2015. All they did was change the colors. All that excitement. Bleh.

Changing just colors and charging obscene amounts for outdated tech is typical Apple. But what is shocking - the outdated software on the Nano. Still the same old, pre-iOS7 UI... Just shocking. And truly pathetic.

Its the iPod Touch 7!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps they toyed around with chainging the design to match the 6???

A8, nice. I thought they'd cheap out with the A7 for sure.
I know I'm shocked too... Apart from the ability to make calls, bigger screen, 4G, and other nitty bits

There's no point in buying an iPhone 6 especially when you compare the prices.

They should have opted for the A7 as like you said iPods are declining but if it's cheaper to add a better chip and other hardware then good on them.

Day 1 purchase for me. I just wish it came with the larger, 4.7" screen.

Hardest decision is to go with 64 or 128gb model. In the age of streaming content, it's not as obvious a decision as it once was...

THERE IS NO CLOUD UNDERGROUND. APPLE, DON’T MAKE ME PUT MY IPOD IN THE OVEN.

Title says it all. I have a wonderful 16GB Red iPod Nano gen 6, an awesome iPod with an awesome screen, and it’s broken and doesn’t work anymore. To fix it, I have to heat it in an oven to loosen the glue so I can take it apart. I don’t want to go there.

What I want, APPLE, is a new iPod with MORE MEMORY.

Did you give us that? No.

Did you think this through? No.

Are the new offerings today sufficient? No.

I don’t want a gigantic iPod Touch. I want a SMALL device with a LOT of memory for music. In NYC, there is NO cloud access under the river when you’re on the subway. We need local storage—period.

Apple you so disappoint.

Unlikely. There's more components updated than just the SoC.
