This iPod touch update is impressive. Crazy that some people are still complaining (no Touch ID, screen is too small, etc.).

I mean this is a $199 device, of course they're not going to give it all the features a $649 device has. We're lucky enough to have equivalent performance for less than a third of the price.

Except the engineering effort to make this board for a 4-inch device. There's no way they're only making this only for the iPod touch when it doesn't even make a difference in their earnings each quarter.
I wouldn't be surprised if this new iPod Touch was the iPhone 6c minus the cellular stuff. The 5c, despite the ridicule it's gotten on this site, has been a pretty big success. I see them everywhere. My wife would go for another 'c' model - she doesn't want a bigger iPhone.

For the first time ever an iPod that is more powerful than the iPad. Shame on Apple that even Phil Schiller was embarrassed to introduce the iPad Mini 3 it doesn't even deserve A spot on their keynote event. Will see if the next iPad Mini will get a significant update.
One more thing... The Nano and Shuffle will not sync Apple Music Playlist guaranteed!

"Apple also updated the iPod shuffle and iPod nano with a matching lineup of colors, but no other changes to the devices were made."

If it's not an actual update then why have these been counted as a new release in the MacRumors Buyers Guide. Not quite as bad as the Apple TV price drop being considered a new release but still, c'mon!

lol 16 for 200 bucks?? haha man what a disucsting thing. anyone who buys this will be disapointed within week ,realising what no more space left to downlod one app? what an idiot thing 16gb man u serious there it coest 30 bucks at the grossery to buy a 64 gb usb stick common enough with that joke
That's hardly a fair comparison to treat it solely as a storage medium and that's all. As far as I can tell it's the cheapest way by far to get into the iOS experience on a brand-new device, which is pretty special.

If history repeats this won't be the case. Remember when the loop model came out? Instead of sleek colorful aluminum the phone-version was plastic.

A8 processor, thats nice and unexpected (+ 199$ Touch has A8 and 450$ iPhone 5c has A6 o_O). The 'space gray' on the new iPods is much darker than on the other products, so that's probably how dark iPhone 6S will look like. And they should at least update the Nano's UI...

Is this 8MP camera the same as on iPhone 6?

Did you notice something odd in these pictures? Like the volume buttons in picture above? They suddenly appear in the other side in the next picture, why the home button appears to be a Touch ID button? Why the horrible iPhone lines? a redisign in sight?
