For me, I imagine I'll get an updated iPod touch sometime because everything about it is considerably better than my iPhone at a crazy low price.
Yes. Did you read the thread?
Yes, because 4.7" isn't that much bigger.
Wow the iPhone has a huge markup for the cellular service capability.
Maybe I missed it but iPod no longer appears on apple.com
Enough bigger to make people like me hate using the 6 and love the 5S. People have different opinions.
I thought exactly the same. A pink iPhone would be so ugly.
And this new darker space grey is really nice.
I really like how the home button now matches the casing.
the iPod section is under the music section at the almost bottom part of the music pageMaybe I missed it but iPod no longer appears on apple.com
personally I do enjoy larger screens I would say a majority of people I know are with you on this. You may have a point, there are striking similarities between this and a potential iPhone 6c. Fingers crossed.Maybe it's a precursor to a new reasonably sized iPhone so I can replace my iPhone 5 with a new iPhone that isn't the size of a small country. Are there really that few people that don't want to carry around a phablet for my day to day work?

In your opinion. Look, I've used the six extensively and switched back to the 5s.
The 4" iPhones were the limit that my hand could use single handedly. That is important to me. Why defend a corporation removing options that a lot of people prefer?
How do you justify selling a 4" 16 GB iPhone 5s (with an A7 to boot) for $550 vs selling a 4" 16 GB iPod touch 6th-gen 4G (with an A8) for $330?iPad has cellular but isn't a large iPhone.
Just wanted 4G data built in. Hell 3G would have done.
I thought the same thing, A7 chip...I was wrong, so maybe I'm wrong about this fall's iPhone lineup...Perhaps there will be an iPhone 6c after all...6c/6/6+/6s/6s+ (hopefully new naming structure, the numbers do not make sense, only the 4 was the 4th iPhone & iOS 4), drop all the 5's, take the 5s screen, cam, TouchID, the 5c form factor, put A8, M8, NFC in there, maybe that will be the entry level iPhone with Apple Pay? I can't see Apple keeping iPhones without Apple Pay, one way or another all iPhones will have Apple Pay capability by end of year IMO. (All merchants need to offer NFC & chip payment options by end of year in the US by law.)I'm surprised by the A8 chip. I was expecting an A7. Pretty impressive for a $199 device (keep in mind even the latest iPad mini doesn't have an A8).
You know what's good about this? Apple shows it's possible to put advanced hardware (same chip and storage options as the iPhone 6) inside a super-small body (4" screen, thinner than an iPhone 6). I wouldn't be surprised if Apple comes up with a 4" iPhone that doesn't suck now.
Forgive me if I'm being thick but I don't see the difference? What's different about the home buttons below? If you meant the lock buttons (which do match the casing), they matched the colours in the last gen also.I really like how the home button now matches the casing.
I agree iPod sales will continue to decline with or without this update. But as much as I would love to see extended FaceTime Audio, I think they will most likely continue the "c" line of iPhones as a cheaper alternative.I was hoping that they would do something special like extending FaceTime Audio to be able to call any phone number. This would have made the touch a viable cheap phone with the only limitation being that you had to be on wifi (which at least in the US is pretty much all the time). As it is, this is totally underwhelming and will continue to decline in sales IMO.
