That is just lucky, most times they will NOT do that. They only replace the faulty one.I only had the issue in my left but I had them replace both. Didn’t want one old one and one new one.

Yep, I wish Bose would. I was SHOCKED! SHOCKED! on how bad Bose is. I felt so 100% sure they were top notch customer service but they are NOT. To many complaints out there and they hardly ever do recalls or replacement programs. I'm one of those that had the Bose earphones Soundsport Free issue and I still have a bad pair in my drawer waiting for a recall as they are out of the 12 month warranty.Am not sure if that is a positive or negative comment.
According to me Apple does care for their customers more than 99% percent of the companies out there.
I had this issue also. I only had the issue in the right bud. Apple took care of it with a mail in return claim. They sent me a new one and haven’t had problems since.Seeing as today is October 30, 2020, my question is how could any be in existence that were manufactured after October 31, 2020? Or is it a reverse entropy situation like in that Tenet movie?
The point, which you missed obviously, is that Apple has essentially acknowledged that every one made up until very recently has been faulty. This is a big deal for headphones that cost as much as Air Pods Pro. Good for Apple for acknowledging the problem though. Better late than never. But seeing as I got mine replaced a couple months ago with zero argument I figure they knew it was an issue long ago.
lol - my air pods pro had this issue.
Do they realize how inconvenient it is for people to go to the store? They should have end users destroy their air pod pros - send a photo - and apple send new ones.
Apple says "a very small percentage" everytime there is a problem. https://www.google.com/search?q=apple+small+percentagePer the repair program page:
"Apple has determined that a small percentage of AirPods Pro may experience sound issues. Affected units were manufactured before October 2020."
Definitely not all of them.
i should receive a full refund for my applecare that i -aod
Apple today announced the launch of a new service program for AirPods Pro sound issues, which is designed to address AirPods Pro units experiencing static or crackling sounds or problems with Active Noise Cancellation.

Faulty AirPods exhibit the following problems, according to Apple:
Affected AirPods were manufactured before October 2020, and those who have AirPods experiencing issues can take them to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service free of charge. Apple says that the AirPods Pro will be examined prior to service to verify that they're eligible for the program. AirPods Pro earbuds demonstrating the issue (left, right, or both) will be replaced.
- Crackling or static sounds that increase in loud environments, with exercise or while talking on the phone
- Active Noise Cancellation not working as expected, such as a loss of bass sound, or an increase in background sounds, such as street or airplane noise
The program applies only to the AirPods Pro and not other AirPods models. It covers AirPods Pro for two years after the first retail sale of the unit.
AirPods Pro users have been complaining about issues with crackling/popping sounds during movement and problems with Active Noise Cancellation for months now. Affected users see the crackling or popping sound appear over time, and it appears to occur when something causes the earbud to move or vibrate.

no just within two years of date of purchase with exhibiting issues.Do I need apple care to be eligible for the program?
I have an issue with my AirPods Pro and wonder if it’s the same issue:
When I first got them, they worked fine. I’m 99.9% sure that they passed the noise cancellation “fit” test, and ANC was working.
After a while, I had a problem with charging the Right AirPod Pro. Apple replaced it for me under warranty.
Once I paired the new Right AirPod, i noticed that when I walked, I heard a “click” in my *left* ear (the opposite one from what was replaced) in sync with every step I took. Music sounded fine if I stayed still, but if I walked I heard “click, click, click” with every step.
So, I did the noise cancellation “fit” test again, and was unable to ever get a “pass” from them. The left AirPod always failed. I tried all the different tips - same issue.
If I turn ANC “OFF”, the clicking goes away. So, since I walk every day, I’ve just decided to leave ANC “OFF” forever.
Now I hear about this “crackling” issue. Is that the same issue I’m experiencing?
Even the repair program for 2011 (15“/17“) MacBook Pro video issues supposedly affected „a very small percentage“.Apple says "a very small percentage" everytime there is a problem. https://www.google.com/search?q=apple+small+percentage
Yes, I was going a bit nuts/crazy because it happens very rarely on my side and makes me wonder what I just did... but sometimes I take them out from the case and the left says 85% and the right one 15%. At some point I was even thinking that it charges them in bursts one side at a time. The biggest problem I have is poor charging contacts, despite being clean, etc.
If an AirPod is in the case but not making contact, it is assumed to be 'connected' or actually DOES connect to a device, which then drains the battery on the offending bud even faster so it's almost always flat when the other is 100%
They need to improve that design somehow.
