Apple Launches Free iPhone 4 Case Program

Worked fine for me. Downloaded app, ordered a bumper for my wife's Iphone 4, and it went through . . . all on MY Iphone 4 that already had a bumper on it that had been refunded just this morning. Both of our Iphones use the same Itunes account, so I don't know if that makes the difference.

I to ordered a free case, then I find out I have also been given a refund on my bumper!
Do I get both?

For iPhone 4 purchases made before July 23, 2010, you must apply no later than August 22, 2010; otherwise, you must apply within 30 days of your iPhone 4 purchase.


So I got the iphone and bumper on July 24. Does that mean I have till tomorrow to get a refund or a new bumper?

You have 30 days from the date of your iPhone purchase to get a free case, which part of that do you not understand?

Has anyone who bought their bumper at an Apple store received their refund?

I bought my bumper from the Apple retail store 3 weeks ago. On the apple site, it says if you paid by credit card, regardless of where you bought it (online or store) it says you have been refunded.

But when I check my status on Apple.com it says there is no record of a refund, please visit an apple store for assistance.

I wouldn't be worried about it, except that the Apple website specifically states that if you used a credit card, "we have already credited your account".

Guess I am headed to Apple Store

Did you guys notice that the Terms and Conditions state that "Apple reserves the right to substitute iPhone 4 Bumpers or other cases based on available supply." So, all of the stewing about which case we pick might not matter!

I had the Otterbox Defender for my 3g and that thing was great for protecting a delicate piece of electronics.

I'll see how this free one goes but the problem is there are tons of cases you could theoretically get.

I went with the bumper. Didnt trust the other cases enough...I mean what if the flash didnt work, or the plastic gets all scratched, or crud gets in there...I know. I am lame.


Also, once you order, thre is a screen telling you that you will be emailed when it ships. Thats it. I wish I had screen capped it for records....

Please read the Apple web site more carefully.
You are trying to use the Apple Store which is NOT the way to order the cases.

The only way to order a case is to download the iPhone 4 App called 'iPhone 4 Case Program' from the iTunes App Store, it is free.

Then install the App on your iPhone 4, it will ONLY run on an iPhone 4.

Then start the App on the iPhone 4 and login to your account, you can then select a case and order it for free.

There is NO way to order a free case on the web based Apple Store.

I did the above. I see a list of cases with a "tiny" picture. If you select a case is that it or do you get a better view of the case to see which one you like? Tied to find them on the internet to get a better look but not much luck.

You get some product info and a link to a gallery for that case... so it's not a commit to that case at that point

Can someone tell me how to find this app in the app store? I tried searching for iphone 4 and couldn't find anything. Tried Apple, Inc. too, and nothing.
