Apple Launches Free iPhone 4 Case Program

did any of you lady killers get your refunds back on your cards yet? Apple says i've got one coming, but i've already taken my bumper back for a refund, so I don't know why it would say that.

$30 cash and a free case would be one for the history books.

My guess is because Jobs said that we'd be able to choose one of Apple's bumpers or from a small selection of other cases.

He didn't say that we could choose the black bumper only.

Doesn't matter that it's free. If they're going to do this, it should be done right.

I was thinking more about other consumers. There is a shortage and he got his free bumper or the option to return it. Apple was fair with that. There's nothing decent here, just people exploiting a goodwill gesture. No wonder Apple was so reluctant.

Ummm, and you do get to choose one of apples bumpers as the option, exactly like he said. Amongst the others cases...

So that makes it okay to steal a second case that one is not entitled to? As a stock holder and a decent person, I hope people who do this are the minority.

Wouldn't it be poetic justice if Apple replied, "You've been caught trying to work the system for a second free case, so you get nothing."

You're being offered a solution in the off chance you have the reception issue, not free pass to the candy store.
 
I decided to get the Griffin Reveal Etch as it seemed like an upgraded and more well thought out version of Apple's Bumpers.

Unfortunately, it's a fact of life. I see it in my 27 year old nephew and 29 year old niece. Given everything they want, and complain like they're owed more, and more, and more.

No, SJ implied that you would be able to choose any of Apple's bumpers or a third party case. He never said that you could only choose the black one.

Please find a quote from the press conference that shows him saying you could only choose the black one. Oh wait, you can't.

Don't you have anything better to do than defend Apple on this?

I don't feel like I'm entitled to everything for free, I'm just saying that if Apple says that they are going to do something a certain way, they shouldn't do it half-assed.
 
Did Anyone Get The Speck Fitted Case (Black Tartan)? And After Your Order did you get a email order confirmation?

"People who do this," are always in the minority. They just happen to be vocal because they like the attention.

Will I have any trouble getting the free cases for two iPhone 4's in which both have the same iTunes account linked to it?

I went for the Speck PixelSkin HD. While not the most aesthetic, it seemed to offer the best protection of the cases offered and be made of the most durable material.

did anyone get an email or anything saying the order went through? I just saw it on my phone but there is no ID number or anything.
