HaHa...long enough to get my credit card info.

The greatest scam of all time! So this is how they're subsidizing the iPhone:rolleyes:

Just was working for me

Just a few minutes ago I got in via that auth link previous mentioned and popped around in calendar for a bit, then clicked mail and went back to the splash page. Now can't get in again :(

Again, .mac IMAP and POP email is working fine. Even push .mac email to EDGE firmware 2.0 iPhones is working fine. Web .mac mail interface is down, and it's just everything else is down. They should, ah, try testing it before they freak out.

So "just" about 70% of the service isn't working.

Not doing something and not being able to do something are two completely different things.
Exactly. Apple is fully able to provide the same experience for IE users as it is for Firefox and Safari users. They just aren't.

Those users can download Safari/Firefox. They're both free. Whether they do that or not is a choice the user makes. Apple designed a product to standards. IE does not comply with said standards. If you're going to blame anyone, blame MS, not Apple.
Oh please. Go ahead and try to name another website of significant importance that has problems working with Internet Explorer. Yes, standards are standards, but the rest of the internet has had no problem making up for Internet Explorer's shortcomings, surely Apple can... Right?

...this thread is getting EXTREMELY ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATINGG!!!

Tell me about it. Let's just have a little patience because I'm pretty sure they're not happy with it at Apple's end either... and others posting 'it's up, it's down' doesn't really add to the discussion until we know more about what is going on.

Saying that, I'm not going to sit around waiting for Apple. I'm gonna make me a sandwich. :D

What stinks is that I bought an iPhone (1st gen) from ebay and I wanted to check the tracking # which happens to be in my .mac mail. :(

It is pretty frustrating that about 12 hours after it should have been functioning, me.com is still down, along with all of .mac. It's even more frustrating that Apple chooses not to say a word about it. However, Apple's never really been big on telling anyone what's going on over there, so why should this time be any different?

It worked for me for a few minutes, but now it's down again. Crap. Does not give me much peace of mind about my data.

I'm surprised that people are still rushing to put their credit card numbers in every time it comes up...just watch out for double and triple charges!

 I wonder what's wrong and if we'll get an explanation

Plus someone said iCards would be revived... true? or false?

Patience ??? - Good grief, my business operations rely, in part, on .Mac. This service has been down for over 12 hours now - that is a MAJOR OUTAGE costing me productivity and $$$.

Yes, but last time I checked, +70% of people don't use Safari or Firefox...
Those who use IE will get a helpful dialog pointing them towards browsers that will work with MobileMe. I'm glad that Apple have puts links for both Safari and Firefox.

Could people claim damages? I mean it's not like this is a free service and it's over 12 hours since the maintenance window closed. This could affect some people in a bad way.
