Not supporting ie6 is a pain.

We have several thousand student PCs that only use ie6 (locked down so they cannot install ie7,safari or firefox etc.) and I believe thats the same for a lot of the Universities in the UK.

So no checking their mobileme accounts for our students (at least those without access to another PC/laptop).

Hope Apple thinks again on this one.

:(

iPhone ftw :p lol but yes thats true however I have abit of lean way with my school, sure I can convince them :)

Using IE is almost as quaint as saying 'bathe' ;)

The IE7 nag screen is annoying enough.

They need a "MobileMe" lite for older browsers.

Those of you who have downloaded the MobileMe update from Software Update:

Does it change ALL references of .Mac to MobileMe? (i.e. the one's in iPhoto and iChat--not just Mail and System Preferences)

You don't bathe or brush your teeth either. Why should we care?

I got the software update prompt 5 seconds ago for Mobile Me.

His views do not express the the views of everyone.

We should care considering that the U.S. does not equal Planet Earth.

I'm trying to pass the time...

COME ON APPPLLLLEEEEEEEEEE!

give us that MobileMe & 2.0 GOOOOODNESS!

I just got a .mac configuration not correct when checking that out for you in iPhoto.... it appears there is no specific mention of .mac or mobile me there... except in the error message.

where is there reference to .mac in iChat?

Not sure its all Apple's fault. Microsoft are notorious for not supporting standards in IE, other than their own standards of course, I'd imagine this is a large part of the reason its not fully supported.

The main reason that some websites appear to not display properly in Firefox and Safari is that they were coded for IE. In reality they are being displayed incorrectly by IE (albeit they appear ok) and correctly in Firefox and Safari.

But IE has awesome Active X support ... nudge nudge.

Not much of a reference in iChat but: Preferences>>Accounts

Thanks for checking.

When you're setting it up maybe?

you can add your .Mac account as a screen name - go to prefs-->Accounts

EDIT: whoops. look like everyone else beat me to it.
