Does mobileme push e-mail and e-mail management apply to all accounts we have set up in mail (for instance my primary e-mail is optonline, not mac.com)? Or only me.com/mac.com e-mails?

That's what I was trying to get online to check... I highly doubt it... But a question for someone who might answer your question.

My company has our on web server and email hosting... can I move 3 emails over to apples hosting? have A@company.ca, b@company.ca, and c@company.ca be handled via mobile me (and go to iPhones) and then the rest are handled by our normal mail server?

Cannot log into MobileMe through System Prefs. me.com email works fine through Mail but still no luck with webapps at me.com

with the whole credit card only thing i agree its balls however just got oyour local apple store and pick it up off the shelve and pay cash or whatever you like (they don't take buttons)

i don't think we'll get it until tomorrow.... right? i'm thinking just because people getting iphone 3g with 2.0 software doesn't mean they will release 2.0 version for everyone else... i don't know.

was wondering the same thing. maybe its release is meant to be tied with the 3g iphone in the US

especially b/c new zealand never had iphone before, so technically everywhere its July 11, all the legal iphones will be running 2.0 - so Apple won't have to release the 2.0 firmware until it gets to a country with pre-existing iPhones..

but ya know Apple, you could just give us some goodies now.. we've heard its ready.. you know lik efeed us some tasty treats? plzzzz,!

apple hasn't mentioned that it will work that way in mail.app. I think they would need to update the app in order for that to work.

Would anyone know if the push services work to push email... to your mac when the application is closed etc..?

The desktop version of Mail does not support Push yet to my understanding. I thought this was coming with Snow Leopard?

Please correct me if i'm wrong.. I hope I am!

When I hit the Web Gallery button in the updated iPhoto, I got this error message....

Apple in all of their brilliance decided to issue a bunch of different updates at different times, look for an update to iLife probably today for MobileMe compatibility.

I feel your pain lol

Well it's a teeny bit annoying not being able to get to my inbox since 8 PM PST.

do we get the trial of mobile me with firmware 2.0 or me.com when it comes back?

I bet the site?

The IMAP mail protocol (which is what .mac/MobileMe and almost any other web host) use supports push.

IE changing the read/unread status and moving folders etc.

agreed but i don't know the last time apple did something nice for us out of the goodness of their hearts... i mean, $10 for iphone 2.0 for ipod touch customers.... the least they could do is release it early since we have to pay for that upgrade... but it didn't happen.

also remember when ipod touch was first released... and i heard that it had built in wifi and i was wondering where the mail.app was and i emailed the pr rep for apple and she said that the configuration was appropriate for the decide. that was bullish... if it has wifi and it can get the mail app then put it on there and stop dicking around with us.

Push email is supported by the server, me.com gives push email, contacts and calendars to those without an Exchange server.

Exchange 2007 support is coming in 10.6 and iPhone/iPod touch 2.0

With Mail yes, but I can't access it (and by that I mean download new messages) there either because the servers are down, and I don't have an iPhone.
