"This is the beginning of the end."

That was my very first thought when seeing this case. I realize that's quite a jump to make, but that was my initial, honest reaction. What has happened to Apple's design team?

This is where they Jumped the Shark.... (note the logo on the back)

Where have you been for the last 5 years? Beats Music purchase, Apple Watch, Apple Music, musical guests at the end of every keynote presentation, etc. it's been obvious for years that Tim Cook doesn't have vision and is running the company into the ground one bit at a time.

Yep. No vision and just another guy who knows how to be liked by the Board and those who invest other people's money. He and the other few at the top will get their bonuses, the bankers and the funds will get their cut, all before the chickens come home.

Beats bought MOG for $15 million. MOG was a great music service, which was ruined by Beats when it became Beats Music.

Apple bought Beats only a few months later for $3 billion. Beats Music (formerly MOG) became Apple Music. Oh, and Apple also got an on-the-way down headphones and pill-speaker business. Other CEOs would have been fired, but then again, it's other people's money.

Seriously? I'm genuinely shocked and appalled by the case. What were Apple thinking?

Personally I have no gripes with the battery life of the 6/6s, however its quite obvious that other people do...so Apple build this monstrosity instead of addressing the issue seriously? I know that they have been known to release some questionable accessories but this is by far the worst, and I think its fair to say that it won't be round for long.

If you're gonna spend $100 on this, which is going to make your phone bigger and way thicker, why not just get the plus model? For the extra $100 you get better battery and bigger screen and ois.

Because you might not need the extra battery all the time. You can take the case off. You can't shrink the iPhone 6s Plus when you want a smaller phone in your hand.

Why are people complaining about the design? I doubt this is for every day use. But rather, if you find yourself in a situation where you'd be somewhere (perhaps without electrical sockets or charge ports) for a while.

And apple subtly admits the iPhone 6 and 6s battery life is not what users want.

First they sell you an iPhone 6s Plus with "same" battery power (yeah, better processor etc), but in fact, it is by far inferior to the 6 Plus battery capacity and real world usage. I want my 6 Plus back. Now they start selling these horrid cases. This is the turn for Apple, I hope they drown in their money. I am gone! Unbelievable. Make a decent phone without this ugly case begging for extra bucks.

If that's the situation your in you'll need more power than this case will give you. You'd be better off with a portable power bank. You can get far higher capacity for less money.

There are NO good lightning port battery cases on the market for the 6/6s. There should be. This is the ONLY one. I think that's why Apple put out this humpback case, to fill a market gap. I think they expected someone else to make a better one, but because nobody else did in time for the holidays, Apple did. My feelings are mixed because I don't like the shape, and don't love the material.

I want extended battery life, but I also have huge hands. Not everybody is me, and I totally accept that just because I want a battery case does not mean the phone is wrong. I think the phone should be designed with/for a removable case. Let apple make a single thing very well, and let customization occur in the third party space.

How do you know it's superior to the existing ones? It just came out today.

If you ignore the Apple Watch, or count it as an accessory, then yes. But you'd also have to count the original iPhone as an accessory, too, since you couldn't use it unless you had a computer. And the iPad was just a larger version. How often in the past has Apple released a completely new product that no one could claim was derivative or an accessory?

You'll have to take your distinction up with Apple. It's Jonny Ive & Tim Cook that refer to AW as an iPhone accessory and book earnings in that category too. Also I said mostly and didn't say AW was an accessory. You made that assumption.
