That's akin to saying NFL fans love what Roger Goodell is doing. You know, because the ratings are still going up. You can like/watch/purchase something, without being 100% in love with it. Apple's shrinking batteries, Ive's obsession with thinness, and the NFL referees all fall into the same category - It's we put up with, for the overall product.
So...another word, if we keep buying these products..they'll just keep making smaller and smaller products? Is that what you're saying?

"As you can see...my long-term goal was to make sure everyone gets a good amount of battery life by making each generation of iphones smaller and smaller and have them buy accessories. Regardless of how anyone sees it...people will come to terms and accept this abusive design. It's incredible how we shaped the battery pack to make it look like iphone had a beer belly. With our lack of team effort a,poor QA staffs, our lack of motivations but greed, and my upcoming retirement, I will say this will change everything. People will buy whatever we give them...like a doggy biscuit. And you know what? They will take one for the team. They will keep getting abused by our BDSM lifestyle." - Jonathan Ive, Poorly skilled designer.

WTF are you talking about?
Can't you read? Or only missing sarcasm?

Edit: to clarify; I was responding to someone wondering why the baby bump wasn't discussed. I was sarcastically comparing it to the overs nautical and overprotective society of today and the sexual repression we tend to stimulate. Usually caused by religion and other mental illnesses we consider "normal".

Ofcourse I'm exaggerating, but that's what I feel like this morning.

I already named this case "the turtle case" in my head. And I will probably never buy it because Apple didn't release one for the plus variants.

I bought the iPhone 4 back then and I can assure you, the flaw was real, it was not created by anyone to gain attention. It was a real problem, especially in areas with low signal strength... But you're missing the point, anyway...
I had 6 of them (mine and employees) and even with the "flaw" enabled on purpose, signal strength was better than 3Gs.

Im not saying it wasn't possible to affect signal strength that way. I'm saying the whole mess was a hype and exaggerated.

I also disagree with a grip problem, and I also don't have any battery problems.

Doesn't mean I'm saying it has perfect grip or battery for you. Doesn't say I'm not for a bigger battery (i hoped they would make the battery bigger to not have to deal with the camera protruding).

They're negative properties of a product. It not universal, it's no dogma, it's no conspiracy and not an indication of a company going sour or designer going mad.

What is disagree with is the arrogant and grande statements that, in my eyes, seem childish.

If they just put a larger battery in the 6, instead of making it ridiculously slim, they wouldn't need to produce a battery case.

Someone will still find a way to drain the battery by noon and complain that battery life still sucks.

Battery cases already existed way before Apple jumped into the fray. I don't see anything wrong with this.

I hate this design too. It is hideous and is perhaps a sign of Jony having left the building. But to call him "poorly skilled" is insane. Look at his track record. His designs made apple what it is today: he made them stand out from the crowd. Slam the case because it's awful, but don't diminish the legacy of a great man who, I am quite sure, has achieved not greatness in his career than anyone posting on this forum.

How about current designs? Apparently, it appears most if not all are same. I mean...look at mbp computers...or imac...or iphones....(although each generation appears little different, but the feel of the products are still the same). And..how about magic mouse 2? Was that design logical?

it's not ridiculously slim. it's made thinner by a desire not to be 40% heavier than even the original iphone.

people need to make their minds up. bigger screen = stretch in two directions. thats more weight...

Lol @ the fact that this is EXACTLY what the iPhone would look like with a fat battery (hot garbage), yet people will say how ugly this is & in the same breath that the phones should be fatter with more battery life!
You can't have it both ways, sweeties... fat and ugly with massive battery life OR sexy & thin with less battery life.
It really is a pretty simple concept.

The z5 compact is smaller than the iphone 6s in width and height, only 1.8 mm thicker and has 2,700 mah battery. The z5 compact screen is .01 inches smaller if you want to factor that in. That IS having it BOTH ways. Big battery, slim and sleek design. However based on your comment you are saying Apple is not capable of this. How sad.

it's also slower, lacking touch ID on the front, and lacking force touch in the screen. the latter adds weight, and the first two have design considerations also which lead to the iphone form factor (things like heat dissipation). like you said it's smaller in width and height. do you want an iphone that's 1.8mm thicker with the same dimensions on the front?

The battery on that z5 will barely get you through the day. If a quad core drains it to get a decent working OS it better be a big one.
Just like megapixels, bigger=better is a dumb mantra.

They will opt for the minimum mAh to get x amount of use.

Havent those saying "just add 1-2mm to the original phone" realised it takes THIS much extra thickness to add any reasonable difference to battery life.

Cant understand the moaning here either you all said use cases, you all complained you don't care about thinness and want extra battery life, here you go!

How would the camera work then?

The z5 compacy is 1.8 mm thicker and has roughly 1,000 mah more than the 6s. So no it does not take THIS much extra thickness.

Mophie battery packs are filled out and does not affect the case. Stop trying to find excuses.

Jonny Ive is on vacation and they have no other designer?
nope, Ive is there.. I am more and more convinced that it was Steve who made final decissions about design, Ive brought many ugly things and few nice and Steve was the one who identified those nice ones... now there is Cook who can not do that:(

Your comment shows how uninformed you are. The z5 compact has one of the BEST battery life when it comes to smartphones in this size 4.7-5.4 inches. The z5 compact has longer talk time, stand by, video play back, music play back and daily usage than a 6s.

STOP spreading misinformation and biased.

What did your link show? not seeing how it helps your point.

GSMarena battery test:
6s: 62 hours
z5 compact: 86 hours

oh and by the way the z3 compact was rated 101 hours by gsmarena too.

"With moderately heavy usage, I was able to get a full day of battery life and this could be improved by turning on some power saving features once the capacity goes down to 25 percent. You maybe be able to get more. A screen on time of between 4 to 6 hours is quite possible"

Specs are USELESS
except to use in pi ssing contests, or to be annoying in forums (post history is clear enough)

I just showed you a reputable website that shows battery life vs 6s and you say I am using specs?

Okay here is the verge review:
http://www.theverge.com/2015/10/16/9549247/sony-xperia-z5-review-compact-android

"The other significant advantage of the Xperia Z5 Compact is a familiar one: battery life. This smartphone lasts for amusingly, ridiculously long stretches of time. Two days on a single charge is the norm, not the exception..."

Can you say this about the 6s? I thought so.

Show me ANY website that has a 6s review and a z5 compact review which gives the 6s better battery performance...you won't because you can't.

Are they seriously not making one for the 6S plus? They should make it and let customers decide if they need it or not instead of deciding what customers need. I would so appreciate a battery case.

I wouldn't blame Apple for not making one. The 6s+ has one of the best battery life of any smartphones. The demand would not be as great as the 6s.

Well, that's your opinion then... No problem, but I think discussion boards are not only there to praise Apple and defend everything they do. If that's arrogant or childish to you, I really don't give a **** ... (In a very arrogant way)
