What's the build#? Curious if Apple tweaked the GM seed that went out to Devs earlier this month.
Many people have been saying it's the same. Was hoping for a better functioning notifications.
What i think has happened is that since a lot of people are having problems redeeming the codes (app store saying they are used) they have stopped giving out codes until they fix the problem. Which they are working on and hope to fix later today. one way or another we will get our codes soon
I've been waiting for almost 2 hours now waiting for this to download and so far it's just stayed in the same place as it was when I first purchased it!!!!!!
Getting code not recognized from the code I received a few days ago from the up to date program. Called Apple support and it confirmed what someone else said in here...they know about the problem and will re-issue new codes, but they don't know when this will happen. You don't have to call them or anything. It will automatically be sent out to everyone that applied during those few hours the page was prematurely setup.
Love how annoyed/upset/distressed/depressed some people are getting about it not working right away, it's not going anywhere... it will be in the same place tomorrow.
guy, it's normal that Apple hasn't sent the code to me yet right? I asked this cuz the information I filled in when ML and when buying it were different. (My friend helped me bought on his account, while I used my own info to request ML)
Haha no kidding. They don't understand what patience means and want it yesterday, kind of immature really. I do love reading these threads though.
Sorry to post the same thing as everybody else, but what's the build number? Somebody has to have installed it by now!
Tis the age of instant gratification...
These digital releases are actually ridiculously efficient when compared with the methods of old (drive to store, get in line, pay for software, drive home, spend xyz hours installing, etc). 2-3 hours from beginning to end is cake.

Okay. I lost my patience and bought ML for €15.99 (download running) although my rMBP would be eligibly for a free ML. My spare time for OS updates is restricted; I can’t wait hours and days for that stupid code. Maybe I’ll get a compensation later…
They want to know if it is the same build they already have installed (GM version). If so, they don't have to spend time downloading and installing the same OS.
Please somebody answer, I really want to be sure about this!
Does ML create its own recovery partition on every machine? So let's say I want to install it on my brother's Mac with my Apple ID. So, I can make a clean install with a USB drive which I previously created on my Mac. But after I installed it, will it have it's own recovery partition on my brothers Mac too, letting him able to re-install it later if he wants to? Or would he be prompted to log in with my Apple ID in the recovery partition? Because afaik, Macs with pre-loaded OS X Lion don't ask after any Apple ID in the recovery partition. How does the recovery partition know if it is a pre-loaded OS X or one which you purchased from Apple Store and then you made a clean install with it?

Fill a problem report tomorrow from your itunes account page under purchase history or something and explain your time was limited and the codes didn't work. They ought to refund you, but who knows if they will.
I had that "already used" error so I went ahead and purchased Mountain Lion. I contacted Apple App Store support and they refunded my order afterwords, but they noted I cannot re-download or update it. They said once I get my new code I can add it in and will be able to redownload/update it.
