How many computers can we load this one? I have 3 Macs, all with same Apple ID.

I'm VERY impressed with some people's download speeds. I can't justify more than $35 per month for internet, but it's days like today when I wish I could.

In any case, I'm just about 30 minutes away from being done downloading.

I set my alarm here in Los Angeles for 5:30 am, based on last years release time of around 5:35 am for Lion. Pretty amazing that I waited for almost exactly 5 minutes before seeing ML go live. This is officially a pattern: new annual OS X versions drop at 5:35 am, Cupertino time, the day after the Q3 earnings call!

Im stuck in the middle of the CA deseart downloading this baby at 3g speeds using a verizon mifi:D.

Its one big scheme. Apple is purposely screwing around with the Up to Date program to get us impatient people to pay $20 anyway to buy it.

Im not serious by the way.

I know its frustrating seeing everyone else get it, because I'm in that boat too. I filled out the form this morning at 8:45, its now 11:30, but whatever, it won't kill me.

I guess I just don't share the same mentality that you do. It doesn't bother me in the least that people are trying out ML before I do. I don't feel left out, per se. I'm actually planning to wait a week or two to see if there's any glaring bugs that people discover, before I upgrade over to ML. To each their own.

Download speeds were decent for me. Downloaded ML from the Mac App Store in about 45 minutes with Opimum Online as my ISP, compared to the hours it took for me to download Lion last year. Now to just wait for Lion DiscMaker to finish making a bootable drive and I'll start installing :D

Currently downloading at the speed of snail! :D My MBP is ready to go though. I have backed up all my files. I will be doing a clean install via usb-disk method.

since everyone was posting there net speeds a bit ago heres mine . not impressive compared to some of the others here ha!

guys please help me : (.

I signed up to the up to date program a few days ago when macrumors first showed it. I got my e-mail with access key and everything. But when I put my code in it says invalid code : <.

what do i do

All done. So far good. Last time I upgraded to Lion had major problems with my volume controls and wheel of death whenever I tried to use any app. Cost me $125 to solve the problem after Apple told me they had no idea what the problem was. After about 3 re-installs of Lion, it finally worked. This time no problem at all and was completely installed in about 45 minutes. Will play with today and see what is worth it and what is not.

Apple support have said that they will be sending all people who applied a few days ago a new code by email as the codes were invalid that they gave out. all you have to do is wait. although you could keep trying that one to see if that works. Others who got their code today have been having that problem and apple have said they are also looking into fixing that problem. While others are still waiting to receive their codes. Its a busy day at apple HQ :L

Compensated for what? You honestly think Apple owes you something for making for wait?

Wait and work.

Look I filled out their forms three times until it seemed to work. They wanted a image copy of my bill although my rMBP was an online purchase. Had to make a PNG screenshot of a PDF and upload it!!! Still uncertain if it will be accepted because my phone number has another format than the format in the form (comletely messed up), and my home country was USA and not Austria in the overview confirmation page.

I called Apple service (15 min) and they couldn't help. I told them that I'll buy now ML for the regular price. The guy said that he will look if he can arrange something for compensation. I didn't even ask for it. So I said in my OP: "maybe".

For how long do you want me to mess around with their crappy up-to-date program? Hours? Days? Weeks? Do you want to know what I earn for one hour in my job? I'll tell you: A multiple of 20 bucks.

And now sorry. The update is pronto on the other machine. Download and install on rMBP less than 30 min.
