Okay well i just phoned apple technical support team and they basically just told me it will arrive at some point. not very helpful -_-

You get a different reference # everytime. I submitted 3 times.

Just got in from work and the first did I did was fire up my MBP and load the App Store. I didn't encounter any problems buying it, using the UK store.
I would love to know at what speed this is downloading at... seems quite slow, but them so is my broadband connection. (around 4mb)!

Geez, to all the whiners about not getting their claim numbers within a second.
Can you just chill out and learn how to wait?
Use your head and figure that millions of people are upgrading and the download highway is full of cars going to the same destination.

A few days ago everybody was waiting for the date when ML was going to be available, so you had to wait then.
Besides that you knew that ML was coming, maybe buy new MACs after the release would have been a better idea?

Why couldn't Apple have put redemption codes on the invoice? It shows the serial no. And the two are linked. OK so that would only work for those who bought direct from Apple but it would have greatly reduced the load on the code server today!!!
Yeah same here... But she tried to send the email one more time and then she said that if its not there tomorrow then i should call one more time.. And i'm going to do that! Because i haven't used around 19k danish krone for my MacBook and then i should pay the 119 danish krone for ML when i was promised ML ! Its not the 119 danish krone but still its the idea!

There's an Infinity cabinet across the street from me but I can't get it. Why? Because BT, in their infinite (pun intended) wisdom gave me and several of my neighbours direct-to-exchange lines, i.e. not via a green street side cabinet. So until they roll out FTTP I'm stuffed

Also, when I entered my info I purchased from a reseller and it didn't ask me for any proof of purchase. Hmmm....

when it says serial number already used push the next button like 3 or 4 times really quick and it goes to the next page

BT and welsh government are rolling out fttc or what ever to 98% of buildings. but i think I'm in a direct line as well as there are no cabinets around my area at all intact i dont think there are any in my area. its only a small exchange with about 2,000 buildings attached i think. :/
I got told on the phone by apple technical support it can take up to 72 hours for the emails to come through!

People are being told by Apple that it can take up to 72 hours to get the codes. What are they using to generate them? An 80286 PC running MS-DOS3.3? With the computing power Apple possesses they should be able to generate millions of codes per second!

well thats my point! i mean it can't take up much cpu for the servers to spit out a random string of letters and numbers :L
Online store for MacBook Pro
When I try to buy a new MacBook Pro from Apple's online store (the 2.3 GHz with 15" Retina display to be exact), my "online cart" still shows that the MacBook will come bundled with OS X Lion.
Does anybody know when they'll update the online store to start selling MacBooks bundled with Mountain Lion?
