Would be nice to have an Apple TV that can output a real resolution instead of 720p at the max. What is this? 2005?

Release an Apple TV with output capabilities up to 4K. I own a 4K TV and so do many other people.

Rumors make it sound like 4k is highly unlikely. Though I hope it's at the very least 1080p

The current ATV is already 1080p. It just doesn't support 24 fps output. Right now, I'd be happy with that.

I remember hearing Jobs say that if you add a stylus then the product has already failed.

He was also talking about the iPhone in 2007, something meant to be with-you-at-all-times convenient. And honestly, Jobs has said a lot of things. Remember how he said nobody wants to watch video on a tiny iPod screen? Yeah...

The standard for the new Apple TV should be 4K, 1080p, and 720p seeing as the technology is maturing. 4K TV's are coming down in price and there's more content supporting that resolution becoming available. Since Apple rarely updates the Apple TV with any major updates, it would only make sense to have the capabilities to support 4K video.

Sure, just count me as someone who hasn't jumped onto 4K, despite being an early adopter of tech. Every time I look at the sets available, something causes me to wait until the next year to see if it improves. For OLED, it is the input lag, and for LCD, it is giving me something that doesn't make the black levels worse than my current XBR full array set, and still fits my cabinet. Too many sets went edge lit, and the full array sets are not terribly compelling for other reasons (Sony, why did you stick those speakers onto your best set? I have better, thanks).

You consider 2GB RAM, 12MP camera with 4K recording, mLED with Force Touch yawn worthy. Oh, you're right, it looks the same, my bad.
Absolutely, I didn't say it was the same as last year's (that would be... odd) but yawn worthy. Not to derail this thread but my S6 Edge+ has 4GB RAM, 16MP camera with 4K recording, and an industry leading screen. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic... if the iPhone 7 were slated to release this year, it'd be a different story. You forgot to mention the smaller battery, 16GB base, and *gasp* thicker enclosure. I think the recent iPhones resort to an entirely too conservative design evolution. Doesn't seem to affect their sales though, which I really don't care about and doesn't serve as a basis for argument for me as a consumer looking to purchase a smartphone... cutting edge design does.

I think the iPad Pro, if it's actually called that, will use USB C and not Lightning. You know that port will make it through all of Apple's lineup eventually. I see it happening there next. But that's just my $0.02

Well, compared to the latest from Samsung, yes, it's yawn worthy. However, compared to the iPhone 6, the 6s will definitely be a huge upgrade, especially if it gets a mLED display which will probably prompt a lot of people to ask why their friend's 6s has a much better screen than their 6 despite "looking the same." Of course, I'm wondering if I'm being a little too optimistic about the 6s getting mLED, but I don't see how Force Touch could work with the current IPS LCD. The rumor of the 6s getting the same animated wallpaper that the Apple Watch has, which Jony says only looks magical on a screen such as OLED seems to point in that direction.

I need this device. I think it's likelier to be announced in October, but the sooner the better for me. It's going to revolutionise tablet computing and the way all of us think of the iPad experience.
Am I the only one who has now realised this is some weird trolling account.. No one is real life exists like this surely..or definitely talks like this.. Like a frikkin commercial.. Embarrassing..

Last September:
Two entirely new iPhones & iOS 8 ~ 35 minutes
Apple Pay ~ 15 minutes
Apple Watch ~ 50 minutes
They even squeezed in 15 excruciating minutes of U2 Dad Dancing and still kept the keynote around 2 hours.

If the rumours are right, I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that they'll have time for:
Two refreshed iPhones & iOS 9 ~ 35 minutes
iPad mini 4 now same specs as Air 2 ~ 10 minutes
New larger iPad with some as yet unseen iOS 9.1 features and maybe some 'Pro Apps' ~ 25 minutes
WatchOS 2 and shiney shiney new watch bands ~ 10 minutes
Updated Apple TV with some kind of TVKit/TVOS ~ 25 minutes
They may even have time to recap OSX El Capitan and keep to 2 hours.

*Not necessarily in this order

To me, it seems plausible. And sensible. If new Macs won't be ready till early 2016, why bother with an October event?
Do you think Apple will shift their yearly fall agenda to just being one September event from now on? (Not being sarcastic, genuinely interested in your take)

Talking positively about Apple products on an Apple forum is trolling? Maybe, just maybe, I'm here because I love Apple and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm with other people who also enjoy the things Apple builds and creates.
