Trump is the most incompetent and corrupt man elected president in any of our lifetimes. It’s quite obvious to reasonable people, but I guess if you think Michelle Obama has a dick, you’ll believe anything.

Again this isn’t an argument.

Speaking in hyperbole, with persistence, doesn’t make it more true.

I see my view that Michelle Obama May in fact not be who she says she is, has deeply upset you. We weren’t talking about her then and we aren’t now, but she keeps coming up to discredit me. How odd!

We have a word for that: triggered.

You’re quite hateful in this thread if I’m being honest. It’s sad that that’s your mantra. Really genuinely sad. I’ll pray for you.

Great things are happening and you are letting your hatred get in the way of seeing or acknowledging *any* of it. The media hasn’t done you any favors in life. You prioritize repetition of emotion over facts.

This thread is hilarious, no one understands what anyone else is saying and all pretending to understand. Just to fuel the debate, context is key. A painting done in the 17th century, while it may be offensive to a 21st century mind, does not have the same meaning today as it did then. Similarly, a painting done in the 21st century using 17th century imagery can be offensive because the context is totally different, and in fact may have been intended to be offensive by use of 17th century imagery. To deny otherwise is to deny the context and the understanding of the artist. Of course, that does not mean that either artist, 17th or 21st century, was correct in their choice of subject matter, notwithstanding the Bible being a model for art for a long time, it is after a collection of stories handed down in the most unreliable way, word of mouth, and depicts in one part a mode of thinking rejected almost in whole in the other part. But then, doesn't that just reflect the discourse above, each side rejecting the other's thought, though one must give credit to portions of the New Testament that actually reflect an understanding of the more outrageous statements in the Old Testament, unlike the discourse in this thread.

....what?

Its deflection, and projection. Person of Color gets elected president, the racists come out in droves, like cockroaches with the lights on. So, in order to combat their racism (its amazing how so many racists are ok with speaking the words and doing the actions of racism, but hate the label), they in turn need to accuse Obama of being a racist.

Drumpf has turned this up to a new level. Everything he is accused of, he deflects to Obama and Hillary, as well as others. He's a perpetual, habitual, pathological liar. So, in order to combat those accusations, he accuses the media and everyone else of lying. He's accused of Russian collusion, so he has to accuse Hillary of Russian collusion. Gets accused of being a racist, he accuses Obama of being a racist.

Its a really weak, easy to see through tactic, but it seems to be working for him.

Coming from a man who wants to "create a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas" and a woman who calls herself our "forever first lady" this doesn't surprise me. More ways to heap praise upon themselves.

Yeah, much more racist than the slave-owning Presidents or Drumpf, who never misses an opportunity to let minorities know how much he cares for them and tries to see how we can better their communities. You know, he's taken steps like dumping on the NFL for protesting police violence, insulted a soldier's widow, claimed some white supremacists were "very fine people", never misses a chance to insult Chicago, even if what he's saying are facts he pulled out of his clueless, orange ass.

Trump supporters who turn a blind eye to his very overt dog whistles (really, they should be called air horns, because they aren't that discreet or silent) but think Obama was some massive racist are living in some bizzaro universe.

No, not if its a garbage proposition, of which you named zero.

Do you just watch CNN/MSNBC? Do you even look at any of these stories from a different angle? The eye that alters alters all. Your mind does so little thinking that you just assume that everything is racism...sad really.

Obama was the most racist president in our history. Who encourages thugs to shoot cops? Who hires a painter that depicts the decapitation of white women to also paint his self-portrait? Who brings a Muslim kid who built a clock that looked like a bomb to the White House? Answer to all, Obama.
Thought this was satire at first. Man oh man Americans are deluded (I’m also an American).

It’s sad when we’re so politically divided that everybody picks sides and roots against the other guy. Regardless of what the parties and biased news outlets tell you we are all playing for the same side. We’re human beings first. When bleep happens you don’t stop to ask for someone’s political affiliation before you help them.

Threats of violence against people you disagree with? You may not want to reduce politics to pure violence with real Nazis around.

You do understand the people I disagree with politically that you are suspiciously, adamantly, and emphatically defending want to exterminate an entire race.

My grandfather lost “most of his unit” fighting Nazis during the war. He helped liberate a concentration camp and he saw the pits with thousand of bodies, the death chambers, the torture rooms, the starving and near death children and babies at the camps first hand so I really don’t blame him for wanting to punch Nazis who glorify that and want to bring that back.

Nah, that one is reserved for the current president.

It’s better for a “reality star” (who is really into real estate more than reality shows, and has buildings with his name on them everywhere in the world to show for it) who has tasted success and the american dream and gone on to selflessly want others to have it too, reflected in booming economy, than to be a “wisened” former president, who should know better by now, turned into a “reality star” our of desperation to stay relevant.

That’s just my opinion tho. Clearly we don’t all agree on everything

No, I watch NBC, CBS, listen to NPR podcasts, watch Fox News for comedic relief from the others....

Despite what you may think because of what I post on the boards, most of my posts about racism revolve around very few topics - Trump, the Starbuck's threads, and one or two other threads where race is the main subject.

Of course, in threads about Obama, race is a discussion that is bound to come up.

At any rate, when it comes to looking at stories from a "different angle", it depends on what those angles are. I have no desire to look at things from, lets say, Trump's angle. I've tried that already, even made an attempt to try to think of the positives that could come from his presidency even though I'm a liberal. I thought "Well, maybe it will help to have someone who has their own money, isn't beholden to big donors, isn't a career politician...".

But it wasn't the mainstream media that made me squash those thoughts. It wasn't another liberal, it wasn't Hollywood, it wasn't any sort of bias or partisanship; it was watching and listening to Trump's own words. He could say what he wanted in interviews. He could say what he wanted in debates. His actions and words were why I thought he wasn't only NOT qualified to be president, but it also made me think of how in the hell this guy could even put his own shoes and socks on in the morning.

I'm not a fan of the Obamas' leadership, but Barack Obama was at least a nice man, and I'd like to see a documentary about his time in office. Trump's behavior is cringeworthy and only fun to look at in his diss compilations.

IDK about CBS, but NBC and NPR are considered far left around here. It sounds like all your angles are team Democrat if you have no desire to look at certain angles. Every side in American news is choosing which facts to present, so you always gain something by looking at the others. I even look at what that b****** Assad thinks about the situation in Syria despite a lot of it being lies.

Sorry to pick this subject, but a good example was the Treyvon Martin controversy. I didn't even know any of the straight up factual info that could be used to support Zimmerman's side until I looked at Fox News and later Wikipedia.

About the network's quality... Fox News passes off opinions as news, and NBC passes off opinions as comedy. IDK which is worse.

Who smiles more and is a “nicer” guy has nothing to do with being President. Those aren’t the metrics by which I evaluate their effectiveness.

That’s probably where a lot of disagreement stems from is different metrics.

Unless your grandfather was Russian he didn’t see any death chambers. All the death camps were liberated by the Soviet Reds. Being American we are supposed to allow others to express their opinions. Hitting people for expressing an opinion, even if vile, is more like the fascists.

Certainly it has something to do with how enjoyable a TV show would be. I don't want to listen to Trump talk for hours on end, nor do I want to hear about his sexual encounters with porn actresses or whatever the heck keeps popping up in the news. Boy am I sick of hearing about Stormy Daniels, whoever that is.

About being president... I'm not sure. The President's character has an effect on American morale, and that might be an important thing that can't be measured. Some things he says aptly positions us as the "alpha" country, but some is unnecessarily divisive.

Haha!

He doesn’t bring up his sexual encounters it’s cnn that’s obsessed with the stormy non stories and Anderson cooper
Hosting a 60 minutes to talk about spanking in the bedroom, while her eyes are coked our dilated. You can’t possibly pin him with obsession about stormy. I laugh at that.

I think the problem is also You might listen to sound bytes on repeat, not speeches. If you listened to a couple full speeches of his he’s given, you might even be swayed to think he’s not Half as bad as Jake Tapper wants you to think he is and all the other clowns at that network that say the same thing over and over again. The person portrayed in that context is completely different from the person that the media regularly decides he is, for me.

CBS, NBC and NPR are considered "Far left" because most of the actions and words coming from Trump are negative. Reporting negative stories about a president doesn't make it "left".

If anyone were to watch MSNBC, you would see Obama and Hillary criticized far more than you would see Trump criticized on Fox. And MSNBC is the liberal network...

As for Treyvon Martin, I saw plenty of information from multiple sources about defenses Zimmerman could have (and ultimately did) end up using. But I read a lot of internet news articles as well and don't remember exactly which sources I viewed/read such info.

If we start calling NBC (not MSNBC), CBS and NPR "far left", it shows that people aren't interested in fact-based news. And this president has been very good at furthering the destruction and merit of truth.

Well the TV show is supposed to be about him, not by him, so they're going to put that in. As for the speeches, honestly I haven't heard very many of them, but I read them. He's so negative all the time, to the point where I wouldn't sleep soundly after seeing too much of that.

I assure you you haven’t read full transcripts of his speeches. How do I know? Mainstream media doesn’t do that. You’ve read sound bytes likely taken out of context and/or lied about. I’d encourage watching a few to see if you still feel the same way. You might be surprised/confused. Or not who knows.

At least you’re honest!

"Apple loses out"?

Looks like they dodged a bullet of maybe alienating tens of millions of product buying customers.

Any liberals planing on making the summer trip to any of the Trump named resorts and hotels?

Business and politics really don't mix, I mean we all know what side of the political spectrum Apple favors, but that's not the same as promoting a single politician.

Won't make any difference to me, I love Netfix, and I don't "hate" the Obama's. I'm not a fan of their politics, but Obama did about the best job he could, did some positive things, and a few things I don't agree with, but he was elected to lead, and that's the job he did.

I'm sure when I get bored, happens quite often, I'll check out their work and see if it's interesting.

I think it was it was Bucaenwald or smashing like thar, I will try to double check.

Quick question, since no one on the planet defends Nazis the way you do other than Nazis how long have you been one?

Too bad, you're missing out on some great original and exclusive content. In case you didn't know, as a Netflix subscriber ... you don't have to watch this show.
Yeah but how can I support a company that endorses black people? /s
