I really like the look of this phone, I don't know why some people hate is so much... Everyone has their own personal tastes I suppose...

It really looks like that bottom section can slide off... I wonder what would be in there that you'd need to get access to? Any ideas?

I don't really get why there's a break on the top though, by the headphone socket... Really looking forward to WWDC. There's so many things they could potentially announce there, although I'm betting it'll be all about the iPhone again...

My thoughts exactly! Especially if it's a guy I find it kind of scary :S One I had a colleague who had a really long nail on his pinky, and he used that to push the tabacco down while rolling a cigarette... We (both my male as well as my female colleagues) were constantly complaining about his really long nail and that he really ought to clip it off, but he just smiled and never did... Good on him then, with his scary long nail :S

Either that or vietnamese women have creepy manly hands. D:

With so many being produced over seas, it seems feasible that one or two of them might slip up.

This time it's lost in Vietnam, huh?

Actually the article states that "a Vietnamese businessman had bought it in the U.S.", so I'd say that these things being produced overseas has nothing to do with it.

And about the 'woman finding it', I'm quite sure it's the hand of a male. The rather long nails are quite common in Asia (Vietnam), I believe it shows status; meaning that you earn a living without physical labour.

If this will be the final design unveiled by Apple in a few weeks, will you still keep referring to it as a "prototype"?

Prototype. Derived from the Greek word prototypos.
Proto = first. Typos = impression.

In engineering and electronics, a fully functional yet experimental construction with little to no aesthetic effort or consideration taken.

This is not a #!&€)(/"@(%# prototype, it's a pre-production model.
The hardware equivalent of a release candidate, or at worst, a beta.

exactly my thoughts! Especially if it's a guy I find it kind of scary :S

I sure hope that guy is a left handed classical guitar player, or he needs nail clippers more than any kind of phone.

Its pinky nail being that long is 1 of 4 things I'm aware of;
1) Coke Nail ( as in the powdered version)
2) In the old days in the Far east (china), long fingernails were a sign you were rich and didn't do manual labor. It has now been 'modernized' to just the pink finger
3) Plays a stringed instrument
4) Better 'Cleaning' of various body orifices

Hoping that the 16GB will be the lower version with offerings up to 64GB. All these units that are being found makes you wonder how no one got hold on an iPad before launch. Maybe they are too large to sneak out under your coat :D

I told you guys this is the real iphone, I know its a prototype but I really think this is the real one that is going to be released next month, and now it has no screws and it actually shows 16GB on the back instead of XX...I CAANT WAITTT:D

I was wondering about that, too. I'd have thought the minimum would move up to 32GB now.

Maybe the prototypes/early prodcution models are only 16gig? I too am hoping for a 64GB model; was also hoping for a slighter bigger screen as well but certainly no deal breaker. Looks good

the back camera is different

OMG I can't wait! Still, I really hope the exclusivity is broken and that there is a 64GB model in the works, I can't fit all my music on 32 :(.

Could be a black market copy?

Considering that the leaked iPhone 4G photos have been around for a while now, it's very possible that this is a real counterfeit iPhone - there are plenty of them around. This also explains the screws missing, as little details are regularly lost with these black market copies. Just a theory...

the back camera is different

I never noticed what I assume is an LED/flash next to the lens before... that'll be useful!

Maybe you can remove the bottom to add more storage space? Unlikey, but we can dream right??!

Guess this means I'll have to get a new iPhone dock too...

If you visit the Viatnamese forum site, browse through all of the gallery. In one of the first smaller pics, he has the SIM tray pulled out and exposed. Either my mind is playing tricks on me, or that is a full size SIM.

Thoughts?

The seams, and the aluminum strip make it look like a cheap Sony Ericsson phone ... I really hope they have a more unibody-esque design when it launches.

The seams, and the aluminum strip make it look like I can finally have an iPhone without requiring a case. It looks like it can actually stand up to being in a pocket or on a table without getting scratches all over.
