The supposed leaked photos are either spare parts for repair or the new Screen is no longer "glued" to the front glass, which is great if the glass breaks. It will be a $20.00+/- fix over a $200.00+/- fix if only the front glass shatters.
I sound like an idiot for responding to people? 4 inches is fine with me but I was responding to the people who want something bigger than that. Did you read my link? They made it 3.5 inches for a reason. Thumbs aren't getting bigger.

Well welcome to iPhone![]()
The long iPhone is a good looking device, bur much more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. I wouldn't be surprised to see a completely new iPhone than the one that has been on the news lately.
Before the premiere of the 4S, there has been cases for a teardrop shaped Apple device, which I believe was a decoy manufactured by Apple to stir the rumors.
This could be a similar situation. Maybe this long iPhone is a rumor-stirrer, too.
Edit: And this proves it: http://gizmodo.com/5930423/the-best-proof-yet-that-apples-next-iphone-will-look-entirely-different
So lets say for example the iPhone someday becomes 4.3" you will never buy one again?
The typical user has not heard of this probable September 12th announcement, so their purchasing decisions have not been affected. Everyone who has heard about it already new Apple was planning a new iPhone release in the fall.
The typical iPhone users knows the phone is released yearly...it's common knowledge now and yes it will be affecting many purchasing decisions.
That has nothing to do with this rumour that they haven't heard though. I was responding to someone saying that this September 12th rumour would impact sales.
They don't need to hear a rumor to know that a newer version is probably coming out soon though
If the design we've seen is the final design, then I think any innovation or fireworks will have to come from within. I don't really see upgrading from a 4s solely for a slightly larger screen.
My guess is that the main hardware features will be LTE, NFC (Passbook), and the usual slew of speed enhancements. The question is, are those hardware features in combination with iOS 6 enough?
We'll see...
So do they have that everywhere (the HSPA+ 42Mbps)? In the D.C./NOVA area they were telling me last fall when I was asking that if I was to get an iPhone 4s that it would only DL at their EDGE network speeds?
And I assume we'll want to buy an unlocked phone that works on the AT&T band correct?
Bad Apple Wednesday. This is just another incremental update.
Siri is still not finished, maps are terrible (a lot are in black and white) and a larger screen/faster processor is only the minimum requirements to call it a new product.
Apple will no longer be the king of smartphones.
With Verizon in Loudoun/Fairfax(even all the way to Winchester) I get 15-25 down, with T-Mobile/AT&T HSPA+(assuming you don't get switched over to 3G) I barely get 7.
Just wait until all those new LTE iPhones hit the network, for sure that speed will be going down.

I would just be careful about singling out the NY Times on these things.Well isn't great how all the Sights are confirming this date. Really? Well not, all they are doing is Copy Pasting. It might be that Apple will be announcing the iPhone soon, that is not confirming anything the only ones that can Confirm anything would be Apple, and they have not confirmed anything.
I understand that a Rumors sight, like MacRumors will speculate (thats there Job) but news sights disregarding any form of Journalistic integrity is sad. It show us that they have lost sight of there real mission, that of giving us news and not rumors.
Shame on you NY-Times, double Shame on Reuters, and multiple web sights who cares, it's all copy paste, repeating it doesn't make it more likely or real.
If I were Apple I would do it on another date just to spite them, like bringing out a 4s instead of a 5, and bring out "The new iPhone"(gen. 6) instead of the iPhone 5.
Seeing as Android has had LTE for quite a while now to saturate the market, I wouldn't be so sure. I've been to New York and San Diego and the results are always the same (with LTE, only tested HSPA+ here in NOVA). If cities that populated display the same results as the farmlands of western Loudoun County (15-25 down), I don't see it changing that much when the new iPhone hits. It's fairly obvious they are shooting for consistent speed.
At the very least, any money taken away from AT&T is always a good thing. I hope their users enjoy that throttling with their "unlimited" plans.![]()
I'm still locked into the Unlimited Data Plan from AT&T, so no matter how fast the Data Speed is, I'll be lucky to get Edge speeds."I'm never letting go of my Unlimited Data - AT&T!"
If I'm not mistaken they only throttle over 3gbs.
Nope, I've used 20 Gigs this month of LTE and still going strong. I pay 30 bucks for my data. How Verizon works is that they only throttle when the tower is congested, then they open back up when available.
Edit**
You are right that AT&T does do that, which is pretty ****** is my opinion. Verizon does not.
Yeah it sucks. But i think it's better than their other options.
