I must be on some impenetrable server because I am NEVER affected by these outages. And the only thing I noticed is in iOS 9 beta 3 the "Listen Now" button has been added to Beats 1. Good thing I put in that Radar...

What a blunderbuss Apple has become under the money-grasping Tim Cook.

He's had his chance to prove himself and failed the test. He needs to resign as CEO and revert to his role as COO, which he performed very well.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the recent slow down I have been experiencing with ATV movie rentals from Apple and trailer viewing and it is just more wide spread now? Way more pauses than normal, actually I usually don't have any pauses. However, the last few weeks have not been great. Rebooting network devices didn't resolve issue and download speed via speedtest.net shows 100+.

Everything seems to be working properly for me now. Try restarting your apps.

Thanks, they're working ok now. Not really the issue though. I've been using Dropbox and Evernote for a couple of years now and I've never once had a problem or an outage. Even Microsoft's cloud services are more reliable which is saying something. I used to have a lot of problems with hotmail a few years ago but recently it's been perfect. Even Office 365 works fine across all my devices. I honestly don't know what Apple are doing to have so many problems and outages. iCloud services are simply so unreliable that I can't afford to risk switching over by business files. Even one days outage of Mail could cost me a lot of money in lost business and tarnish my business reputation.

Thanks Taylor Swift and MTV neither one I care to listen or watch. Now can I get my music back on so I can listen to some real music not some boring Pop music that is ruining today's generation.

Apple time to update iCloud Music need to upgrade the limit of 25,000 or have it unlimited.

https://www.apple.com/pr/bios/eddy-cue.html

Yeah... Everything on the list of Eddy Cue's responsibilities that was good from the start (mainly iTunes, the App Store, iBooks, and Apple's productivity/creativity apps, in my opinion) came out when Jobs was still alive, which I suspect is because Jobs would have no hesitation in yelling at him when he screwed up. Cook has done a very good job of out-operating the competition (as Forbes reported: http://www.forbes.com/sites/ewanspence/2015/01/31/how-apple-beat-android/ ), and despite these reports of "supply constraints" seems to be very good at driving up demand for Apple hardware, but I think these screw-ups are the real signs of what Apple lost when Jobs died. There's still a bunch of very talented people at Apple, and make no mistake, Apple botched several things under Jobs (MobileMe, the G4 Cube), but I feel like Jobs was much better at quality control than anyone who's currently there. People love to talk about how much of a jerk he was, but when you're running the most profitable company in the world, sometimes you have to be! He'd call people out on there s***, and that's how things get fixed.

I think a lot of the problems with Apple software, in terms of the OS's, at least, are overblown. I had no major issues at launch with Mac OS 10.7-10.10 or iOS 5-8 that I couldn't live with and that weren't quickly resolved. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is my phone having rotation issues in iOS 8 on my 6 Plus until 8.0.2 came out, which just meant I left orientation lock on.

But I have to say, based on my EXTREMELY buggy experience with Apple Music, that their services are simply subpar as of late, at least until two-three updates later. Apple Maps usually works for me, but not consistently; Photo Stream is complete and total garbage, which I've had to experience over and over again working at Simply Mac (an Apple retailer and service provider) because people don't back up their devices and then when they get their phone replaced, Photo Stream pulls back about 5 photos; iCloud Photo Library is better, but keeps duplicating people's photos and wipes everything in your Photo Stream off your phone half the time when you activate it for no reason; syncing content through iCloud typically works, but it's still strangely difficult to get contacts and calendars from other services merged into iCloud; and I'll never understand why streaming a movie through iTunes works about half the time while streaming a movie through Netflix works flawlessly, assuming your internet is working.

Some of this is definitely very whiny. Sure, I can just use Spotify or Netflix and such instead, or sync my contacts through Google or something. But I think it's important to give Apple credit where it's due and call them out when they suck at something rather than mindlessly follow them. Eddy Cue either needs to be booted, Forstall-style, or Cook needs to figure out how to make him do his job right. I know that it's a lot to get right and they have millions of customers to please, but, well, that's part of the job description.

A growing number of users on Twitter are reporting issues with Apple Music, Beats 1, iTunes and the App Store as nominees are announced for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) exclusively on Beats 1. MacRumors can confirm that many of Apple's cloud-based services are currently not loading or are displaying error messages in the United States and Canada.

Apple has updated its System Status page to reflect service disruptions for some users for the App Store, Apple TV, iBooks Store, iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, iTunes Store, iTunes U, Mac App Store, OS X Software Update, Beats 1 Radio and Volume Purchase Program. The issues have been ongoing since approximately 9:45 AM Eastern.

Apple is currently investigating the cause of the problem.

Hadn't actually realized how much I like the curated playlists until this outage hit and I couldn't listen to them. Well played, Apple... Well played.

Pandora is down all the time...

http://sitedown.co/pandora

There just isn't a pandorarumors.com website to detail every second it's down.

cause pandora has the same amount of users and $$$$$$$ as apple to invest in infrastructure ?

I don't think people here care if pandora or thousands of other sites are down.

There is a pattern here when it comes to cloud services, as users we should be expecting Google level of cloud services uptime, not pandora....

He doesn't have too much on his plate, he's simply not up to the job and never has been. Cook should step up to the plate and fire his ass.
He doesn't need to fire Eddy he just needs to poach someone from Microsoft, Google or Amazon who is experience in running cloud services. Eddy would have plenty to do overseeing AppStore, TV, Apple Music, Pay and iTunes.
