don't think so,becuase Arcade and TV don't have that many subscribers.and they need go advertise/push sale with free trials as much as they can.
Yeah I finally gave in and tried Apple Arcade, 3 month trial, came with the 13 PM. Little time killer for me and all I do is play Pinball (no ads...it's beautiful) BUT...I will cancel, I don't need another subscription service.

One Year Apple TV for free came with the 12Pro Max, I think I watched that twice..maybe 3 times in 12 months.

Well now that the regulators are finally talking a look at App Store anticompetitive policies they gotta make up the revenue loss somewhere else. Soon, no more free trials.
Yeah, it’s always the fault of regulators. It’s not like apple is a trillion-dollar company or anything. They just can’t afford it!

It took me less than a month to realize what a disappointment the Music service is, especially in terms of software - although I appreciate that Apple is the only one keeping podcasts and music separate. For those who are super accustomed to Spotify, Music won't feel right. If you're leaving Spotify because you can no longer stand giving that company your money, try Deezer before Music.
Deezer pays even worse than Spotify. They’re the lowest paying music subscription I’ve seen (I’m talking about pay to artists per stream)

I recommend Tidal or Napster. Both of them pay significantly more than Apple, and Apple pays a lot more than Spotify

Simply means they are getting close to a good number of subscribers they wanted, and thus there's less need for new customer acquisition.
This is a normal cycle.

People are just subscribing to watch what they want and immediately unsubbing. It's cheaper by far. I expect the TOS/price to change to deal with this behavior.

I think Apple’s answer to it is literally Apple One. Reduces churn because you are essentially paying for one giant bundle, regardless of how much or little you use each service.

Those people should simply buy an extra month or two of Apple Music until they can find the time to muster up such a weighty decision.

However, sadly, that's the way it is today. The new normal for those feeling entitled is expecting free stuff. Thus my recommendation for seeking professional help in my previous post.
It’s a large population you’re speaking of. And it sounds harsh for people trying to save money, but you know, I’m down with professional health for people entitled to criticize others for it.

The good news is people have choices. Don't like Apple Music or Apple's value or policies? Or feel that Apple is not offering enough free listening time and that 30 days to make a decision is not enough time? Simply go with a competing product that offers more decision-making time and better value. And find happiness.

I think this is a bad time to make this switch. As people are boycotting Spotify, I think they need to entice those customer to be long term fans of the service.

Spotify all the way with me.
They are the only ones who allow their users to use both playlists AND folders to organize their music.
Love using the folders because it works exactly like the Windows Explorer or Macintosh Finder.
You can for example start by have genres (classical, jazz, pop, rock, workout, dinner, movies etc) and then sub-folders from there and even sub-sub-folders if you want.
In my case for example I have a Classical folder with composers inside it and then the works.
So the Classical>Mozart would have sub-folders of Symphonies, String Quartets, Piano Trios, Concertos etc.
LOVE it!!!!
Totally awesome and best way for me to keep my music organized.
How is it different from Apple Music in that respect? Actually, I wasn't sure if you could have sub-folders in Apple Music, but I just tried it and you can. Also wasn't sure if you could have a song directly in a folder or if it had to be in a playlist that was in the folder, but I tried it and you can do that too.

Since launching in 2015, Apple Music has offered a three-month free trial to first-time subscribers, but the trial period has now been reduced.

Apple-Music-One-Free-Month-Offwhite.jpg

Starting this week, Apple Music offers a shorter one-month free trial to first-time subscribers in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Japan, and other countries. The change was first spotted by Japanese blog Mac Otakara.

Apple Music pricing remains unchanged, with an individual plan available for $9.99 per month in the United States after the one-month trial period.

For comparison, rival streaming music service Spotify typically offers a one-month free trial for its Premium tier, but it is currently offering a two-month trial as a limited time promotion in the United States and select other countries. Spotify is also offering a three-month free trial to first-time customers who sign up through PayPal.

Apple Music continues to offer a six-month free trial to customers who purchase eligible AirPods, Beats, or HomePod models for a limited time.

Is the best that Apple can do with their $3 trillion market valuation?

I mean how much more time do you need to figure out this service is garbage for anything but one type of music?
Been using Amazon unlimited for a year now and am much, much happier than I ever was with Apple Music.

I’m down with providing professional mental health resources for people who feel entitled to criticize people who criticize.

I come from a different era of music listening, so I've never made use of any streaming service. Curated my library for the past 20 or so years.

I still buy my music. If I decide to not use a streaming service, then I still have my library of music. For Apple Music, I listen to the pop music I’ll never buy or tune into the radio for a change.

Be warned, if you’ve been buying all along, this will just add fuel to the fire. When you find something new, and really like it, you may just wind up buying it.

Also, for independent music that streams on Apple Music, buy from Bandcamp. They give 85-90% of the profits to the creator/artist/band/composer, plus one Friday a month they waive the fee to give 100% to them.

Not a big deal, IMO, as nothing Bluetooth will play lossless anyway. ??‍♂️

Yet that has nothing to do with Bluetooth. Lossless can be gf on apple over Wi-Fi and they delivered on their announcement. Spotify seems to have been talking ‘boost’ and couldn’t deliver when the curtain fell.
