does anyone know if Spacial Audio or Lossless Audio will work with standard wired lighting headphones?

I think there's a difference between "Spatial Audio" and "Spatialize Stereo".

Spatial Audio is shown for Music that has a Spatial source, whereas "Spatialize" means your device can turn stereo audio into a Spatial form.

It seems iOS 15 can turn stereo into Spatial Audio and then you get a similar effect, but if the source is Spatial, I would expect better results in general.
Yeah I noticed the subtle difference in the language they’re using. I still haven’t found any Atmos tracks on Apple Music.

Are you trying to play the song or the Music Video? Because is the music video the one that is supporting it right now. On the Apple Music app of your iPhone.

From the control center make sure spatial audio is activated. If is working, you will see the spatial audio icon has some animations

I'm confused, multiple articles had prior said that spatial audio would surprisingly be supported by all headphones, apple and non apple a like. Now it's just beats and apple? No wonder all of these things took so long to come to apple music, once you consider all the qualifiers, (hardware, connection, original music masters available, and consumer taste) you get down to a much smaller number than you might think that this actually matters too.

For example Blinding Lights by the Weeknd. But the most evident one is Butter by BTS. Move your head as soon as the song starts playing.
Also on Butterflies Kacey Musgraves MV but IMHO the spatial audio mix on this vid and the others vids mentioned above lack any real subtlety or nuance - more like a parlor trick than a legit remix taking advantage of what's possible w/ Atmos.

Exactly this. Spatialise Stereo is basically taking a stereo track and 'upscaling' it to be spatial audio. Rather than being true Spatial Audio.

Yeah is a peculiar experience for sure. Peculiar being the keyword here.

As stated, they have been for months. lol. That's not the subject of this whole conversation though. We're talking about the music, not the videos.
Sure. But if you look to the rest of the thread it seems for a lot of people is news as well.

No, spatial audio for video content needs airpods because of the head tracking. For music there is no head tracking, and thus any headphone works as it is simply a different mix that gives a more three dimensional sound.

I didn’t know it was available on music videos before. I switched between the audio track and music video for Blinding Lights by The Weeknd, Butter by BTS and Fearless by Taylor Swift and I can hear the difference! Or maybe I want to hear the difference…

Some people might not have been aware that it's been there fore Music Videos for months, but it's not what this thread is about, you've confused people as many are waiting for it on music, not music videos, as evidenced by the others replying questioning how you're seeing it.

I have watched a few netflix shows that are definitely spatial. When I put in the AirPods I sometimes have to double check the settings to see if audio is coming from them. Sounds so real because when you move your head the audio still seems to come from the direction of the iPad.

That “Spatialize Stereo“ is now gone, and control center now shows “spatial audio not playing”. Same songs as before, but oddly enough, the effect is still active. #bugit.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you haven't. Netflix has confirmed publicly it is not and has not tested Spatial Audio for its i/iPad/TV/OS Apps.
