I think 15 will not be a huge change from 14. I have to admit that Dynamic Island is a game changer and I would have upgraded my 12 Pro Max to 14 Pro Max accept Watch Ultra was more tempting. I chose Ultra and will probably keep rocking' my 12 Pro Max until 16.

Apple makes decisions based on how much money they can earn. Shame on Apple for behaving like a company.
I don’t mind them at all making decisions based on how much money they can earn. That’s the primary goal of all publicly traded companies. I only get annoyed when they claim to make their business decisions for altruistic reasons.

There’s worse to be annoyed with. Media. Social media. Politicians. Central banks. Public schools. So much misinformation from all sides.

Compared to them, companies are the easiest to understand. You know what motivates them.

Another misleading lede. The pro series is selling better than expected and everything else is in line. Only the regular 14 and 14 plus will keep same production values (no increase). Wait until earnings and I bet they beat.
I went rom 13 max to 14 pro. No need for the bigger handset.

Apple's dominance in smartphones may be peaking but there is so much more on the horizon.

They just landed NFL Halftime. Sunday Ticket is probably going to happen, their advertising platform is adding even more value. Then we have AR and Apple Reality. The outlook for apple looks amazing and just because they are sticking to the original plan, people are saying this is bad. lolololololol

That's simply not true!

The cheapest baseline (Apple Store) iPhone 14 here (in The Netherlands) is €1019. Convert that to dollars and you get $977. That's a lot more than the $799 US iPhone 14 price! It's actually a huge price increase.

Given the 14's very small feature difference with last years 13 (which did not get a price increase), and given that the 13 has a much more attractive baseline price with the Mini, the choice for a lot of people in the EU is obvious to go for a 13, especially with carrier discounts.

Personally I think that next year, they will come up with updated lower-priced Mini, and that it will simply get a 2-year update cycle. The iPhone 14 is more like a 13S anyway, with even less technical updates compared to most S-update models in the past.

Of course it’s true.

185 Euros is taxes included. The true price is 834 Euro or US$803.

Yeah I’m personally waiting until the 15 when we all know they are going to reduce the default size of the island. It’s currently too big for my taste and I’m pretty convinced they deliberately made it bigger just so they can reduce it next year.
Dynamic Islet?

Similarly, I'm not buying another iPhone until USB-C is implemented. There is nothing 'Pro' about Lightning. And maybe next year they'll find a better use for the SIM card slot instead of plastic blocking - so stupid.
Plastic blocking?

I thought it was the 5g antennae window. I’ll have to see in Apple Store sometime.

I think Apple needs to watch what happens when the iPhone 14 Plus arrives on October 7, 2022. I think the larger screen and much longer battery life of the iPhone 14 Plus could find buyers, especially those who use the phone as their primary Internet access device.

I believe it’s the mmWave antenna and has existed since the iPhone 12 in the US. As an Australian user, we don’t have that part on our handsets as we don’t get mmWave.
