POWERBOOK G5'S THIS TUESDAY!!
.5in thich, harness cooling power from polar ice caps, 17 minutes battery life!

You heard it here first.

This is by far the best mock up I've ever seen.

Whoever made this should apply for Apple's design dept. :D

No it isn't. It's ugly as sin. It's not even very good photoshop work. Look at the screws- they're completely skewed. That thing looks like a horrible PC from the 90's! There's no balance, the proportions are dreadful and there's no trademark Apple simplicity. If they go here, I certainly won't be getting one.

here' my mockup from a while ago. (sorry for another post but i cant edit posts and then add attachments)

the first mockup is mine. the second one was just so sexy i had to share. it was made by 'bananas' and posted at this thread:

Yours is a very good complement to his! I like the Air-Pro combination look. I'm sure it'll be a beautiful machine-I just don't want to wait!!!

NOooo, why must we continue to contribute to the destruction of the polar ice caps

Calm down Darth Maul mock up. It may have flaws but it has a high-quality and Apple-kind of look.

:confused::eek:Another speculation????:D:eek::(:)

I like it

Proportions or no... I like it a lot.

21:9 screens should be the next move - better for watching movies, motivate TVs and projectors to move to 21:9, too. Then cinemas will have to move to imax 10:7 and the cycle begins all over again.

A footprint about the size of the Apple wireless keyboard, would be ideal. Then the iPhone could go back to being an iPod with a phone and maybe google maps. I'd stop eyeing the Eee PC and wondering 'What if?'

And a MacBook could be portable. (How quickly expectations change.)

We all love our ultra low-res iMac screens stuck to the back of thin aluminum wireless keyboards. They make for the best looking mobile computers we have ever seen!

SARCASM

No seriously, this isn't that creative, innovative, or practical.

WHAT?????

Oh, never mind. Wishful thinking is good.

Although, if the MacBook isn't portable, what is the 17" MBP? Then if the 17" MBP is too large, what about the PC 17" SLI notebooks, or the rare 19" and 21" PC laptops?

Did you ever think that if you close the lid - actually if you close the keyboard in this case - that the keyboard part is smaller than the screen?

That mockup is simply bad.

Or that the keys aren't recessed, so all of the keys would be pressed down by the screen?

YucK!!!! And now that I take a good look at it the trackpad is just some slither of a etching at the bottom of the keyboard, and it's off center?

WoW! This thing is a really bad last minute job.

I respectfully disagree. It looks like any other PC on the market. There's nothing distinctive about it.

Disagree. It's absolutely beautiful, and is completely un-cluttered in comparison with any other PC laptop on the market. Seriously. Take a look at any Dell, Viao or Lenovo.

Feel free to disagree, but that thing is ugly. No amount of anyone saying anything is going to make me think that disproportionate lines are nice, especially when there's absolutely no reason for them.

If you like it- fine. I happen to think it's a mistake- and feel strongly about it. If that bothers you, I'm sorry.

Doesn't bother me that you don't like it. Your attitude in presenting opinion as a hard fact is simply offensive. Your opinion is no more valid than any other individuals here.
