Apple Now Accepting Pre-Orders for iPhone 4S, Unlocked Coming in November

I called AT&T yesterday. They said that they would ship the iPhone 4S overnight on October 14th for Saturday October 15th delivery.
Correct. T-Mobile subsidiaries in Europe are using the frequencies designated for European 3G service which is the same in all of those countries.
I'll have to look into that. For now I get a 23% FAN discount on AT&T through my employer, but I prefer unlocked, anyway.
Do you actually have to buy the e71 or can you just get the SIM card with the more expensive plan? $179 is a bit much for something I'm never going to use (plus who on eBay would want a Symbian phone?), on top of the $649 for the unlocked iPhone 4S.

Pretty sure you have to change it in iTunes before you start the order process.
I ordered through the AT&T website last night but there wasn't an option to purchase applecare+. I read on a blog that Apple is going to require it to be purchased at the same time the phone is purchased. Does anyone know if I can still buy it and how to?

1. Yes, you must buy the Nokia E71, Straight Talk doesnt sell SIM Cards
2. You should buy it ONLY at Walmart...never Ebay..never
3. You take out your Nokia's SIM, and STORE THE NOKIA IN your closet...you cannot sell it...(The person you sell it to will try to activate it, thereby deactivating your original Straight Talk SIM now sitting in your iPhone)
Yes, $200 for $45/monthly...its the cost to get in on a good deal..but you will recoup everything like in 4 months.

Got a black 32gb 4s direct from Apple on its way. No dramas this morning, didn't even get up early. Server response was pretty instant, nothing like the 4 I got last year Am I reading this right? Ordered though the Apple Store at 9:30am Eastern Time. No problems at all. Took 5 minutes. It was a little strange that it asked me to select a data plan, but unlimited was a choice with AT&T, which is what I still have since i've been with them since day 1 with original iPhone. It's scheduled to arrive on Oct. 14th!

... how does that even make sense? It's a world phone? Although now that I read through it again it calls it the iPhone 4, not the 4S... but I took this directly off the 4S page.

Yep, the posters here were right as usual. People are disappointed they didn't update it with a new design and bigger screen - total flop.

I saw it too....my take is that the world doesnt use CDMA, so why bother putting it in the interantional unlocked ones....also, how interesting that the Unlcoked are coming to us in November (the date the international unlcked ones will be distributed)...It seems to me the US will get the batch from this main batch of international unlocked ones.
Well, I pre-ordered (reservation is cancellable) but my carrier has not yet released pricing nor do they provide eligibility to upgrades info.
Anyway, hesitated to get it unlocked straight from Apple as we do not have to wait here in Canada to get unlocked phones, unlike you yanks.
Some details on Rogers iPhone 4s pricing (Term and no contract). Says apparently Rogers will post a tool soon to calculate hardware upgrade pricing.
