14 Pro Max 256 GB

Verizon now forces you to get 36 month installment to get their $800 credit...:eek::eek:
My next next iPhone then will be iPhone 17 Pro (or Ultra).
Welcome to AT&T 😭 they do the same for new contracts, oh you can pay to upgrade early though 🤣🤣

Looks like it's a bit involved/difficult to early pay off a citizens loan and probably more trouble than it's worth.

I'll just get my new phone with a regular account and ditch the early upgrade program, which I've never used anyway.

Thanks for the reply
Forgot, you can get new iup and just not turn in device. They would continue to bill you. Just once your case.

I want to get the Space Black but I’m torn between that one and the gold. The problem is, I don’t know if the Space Black one is the same Space Black as like, the Apple Watch. My series 5 is a Space Black Stainless Steel model. And it’s dark. The iPhone 14 Pro Max Space Black reminds me of the graphite color from the pictures. Can anyone confirm for me if the Space Black is graphite? Or similar to that of my Apple Watch?

Yeah - really wish they would have the military discount on the app.
They do not have any discounts in the app AFAIK. You still have to send your card and other details to your friend in order for them to place a friends and family discount.

As an aside: my ID.me issues have been resolved with absolutely no thanks to anyone at ID.me. Turns out they blocked my registered email domain w/ zero notice, completely locked me out, would not process my change email request, would not even tell me what the issue was, would not let me register because I had an existing account (the one they locked), and then took over a month to tell me that they reviewed my account and would not be lifting the block despite my pleas to give me details and/or verify my DD214. Some minor thanks to the person that finally eventually at least let me create a new account - several months and hundreds of dollars of missed discounts later. Absolutely despicable and deplorable service and I wish Apple used the a different service to verify qualification for the discount.*

*Apple Store staff were also absolutely worthless in this process and would not be bothered to apply the 10% discount when presented with a copy of my DD-214. At least I was able to leave them an appropriate detractor.

Ummm. There is no bag/cart because you aren't checking out now. Just wait. It will become clear at 5am Friday PDT.
Well I thought it would contact my carrier to confirm eligibility. It didn’t, so that still has to happen on Friday.

All done :)

256GB iPhone 14 Pro Max in Space Black.
Space black just seems so meh and dull. I’m deciding between deep purple or gold but leaning towards the purple since it’s the new color. Space black is also a new color but I thought the graphite color last year was better than this

I want to buy iPhone outright but i don’t see the options WTF? The only options is 4 carriers ..

Silver
512 GB
Unconnected

My Mastercard is ready.
is 'unconnected' same as 'unlocked'? i'm a bit confused by the eSIM situation. In years past i would just buy the unlocked phone and insert my physical SIM when i got the new phone.

Now, i'm not sure which option to choose if i want an 'unlocked' phone

You might want to edit this, your phone number is shown. But yes, unconnected is the same as unlocked, it won't be tied to any specific carrier and you can set it up with whomever you wish.

Yeah. I think they’re all unlocked unless you buy an AT&T model on a monthly installment plan.

I’m wondering if it just determines if it’s preconfigured to your carrier, if you choose one of the carrier models.

I plan to just transfer my eSIM over during initial setup.

I’m looking around but I can’t find any actual confirmation for this. If you use the trade in program it just says you must turn in your existing phone.

Yeah, if you choose the carrier, it's set up with it from the factory. When you receive it and turn it on, it activates the preinstalled SIM on the carrier and number you chose when you ordered. Takes just a few minutes if that.

Thanks for the heads up I changed the picture

So if you buy the unconnected phone and set it up with a carrier of your choice, does it then become ‘locked’? It then becomes the same as if you bought the preconfigured one with your carrier?

If that’s the case why did you choose to buy the unconnected one? Seems like it’s an extra step to arrive at the same conclusion/setup

ok this is a good note, see my biggest thing is I wont have an apple device until I get my iPhone so I don't want to miss a payment just in case there is a delay in shipping

i'm assuming though that they won't start charging the installments unless i actually order the phone.

can you apply for the apple card thru "traditional" means? normally you just open the wallet app and apply from there, but if you don't already have an iphone...

I notice that pre-order with a credit card gets your billing address but not the shipping address. Seems stupid not to have the shipping address put in to speed things along on launch day.

When I attempt to do this and select T-Mobile Financing (which gives me a much better trade-in deal than Apple's trade-in), it won't let me finish the process. The Continue button is grayed out.

When I switch to Buy instead of Finance, it lets me set up the pre-pre-order flawlessly.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Another US only feature? Can't even choose a carrier in the Australian Apple Store app. I'd hate to go through the tedious Telstra preorder again.
