Mail is still crap on the latest 13.1 beta ! Ugh... If that’s GM, then it’ll be a ****-fest when it’s deployed!

What's wrong with mail? Are the problems only on the iPhone? I've been running 13.1 beta on my iPad and haven't run into any issues with Mail whatsoever. If Mail is broken on iOS 13 on the iPhone specifically I'm going to the concerned because my new phone arrives tomorrow!

Given how close together the two releases are, is it smarter/safer to just wait for 13.1 before updating my XS Max?

Depends on you, takes no time, if you are backed up to the cloud, zero risk, but then I never encountered an issue updating. Been on Public Beta program for years

I bet he doesn't even own an iPhone. I've had no issues. Some people like more features and use a third-party mail app

What worries me is 13.1 is still super buggy. Read a few reviewers say they have had to hard reboot 5-6 times in the past week.

So a quick FYI from a beta user, nobody should voluntarily update to iOS 13 today, just wait until 13.1 next week. Not worth the potential hassle. There's a reason why Apple is releasing 13.1 a week after 13 and it isn't because 13 is the most stable .0 release they ever made.

I know of/have experienced no issues.

And they run Androids. Seriously, Don't know what their problems are, probably has nothing to do with iPhones or iOS. I have been running just fine, 0 bugs.

Reviewers testing the new phones would be on iOS 13.0. Hopefully now that 13.1 beta is available for the new phones we'll be able to upgrade if we have a bad experience due to 13.0 bugs.

Given the state of the last 13 beta and the state of the 13.1 beta now I wouldn't have released an iOS 13 today being Apple. Sure it probably works fine for most people with maybe a couple of glitches but it certainly is the worst .0 release in recent memory in terms of stability.
Bet you cannot back that up with anything. I have had 0 problems, that's Z-E-R-O

Yeah I think Beta 4 is just GM. I just uninstalled the beta profile to get ready for the public release next week!

iPadOS Safari user agent identifies as macOS Catalina, this is causing so many issues for Enterprises who have iPads that have IDM polices based upon user agent that differ from Mac OS. Also anyone who monitors device stats to web pages is suddenly going to see a drop in iPad viewing but a spike in Catalina viewing before Catalina is out.

Still hoping they release a beta profile for the iPhone 11s cause when I get mine tomorrow I'd like to get the beta profile and immediate skip iOS 13 and jump to 13.1 beta 4 which has been real nice for me

Well that's quite the sample size you have there, I suggest you check the iOS 13 subsection of this forum to see my sample size...

But for starters the iOS mail app is just plain broken in iOS 13.

Then your probably not using the mail app, because that's plain broken and other than that I suggest you check the IOS 13 subsection of this site to see all the kind of problems people here are noticing.

They have. 13.1 b4 is ready for the 11s.

Hmm I can't seem to locate the profiles for the 11 on their website right now. Maybe the dev portal will be updated tomorrow when the phones are out.

Mail.app with Exchange/Office365 was next-to useless on iOS 13 GM, was working on iOS 13.1 BETA so I just moved to using the Outlook.app until I have iOS 13.1 GM installed.

Siri Shortcuts is completely broken on iOS 13 GM but is working on iOS13.1 Beta. There are a lot of bugs for sure.

Mail is far superior to me in 13.1 beta 4. It now shows the correct badge count, marks things as unread. No freezes, no re-springs. For me it's fine. However overall, I don't get how Apple totally borked the entire iOS 13 beta process. Just bad.

You use the same profile. The profile is just a certificate pointing your device to a different update server and all Apple has done is to release iOS 13.1 BETA4 for the new device IDs on this server.
