Totally agree. I really dont like those black screens. They look cheaper & plastic. I would go with a Macbook Air.

I don't like how the black screens look on pic or the black keys. I'm a big fan of the all aluminum look. I'll have to check them out in person. Otherwise, I may be looking at a previous gen MBP for my next purchase.

I absolutely love the new Macbook/Pro i think they look really nice!

Blu- Ray really isnt all that mainstream yet, so i think they will wait a bit longer for that...

I suspect all the "I'm keeping what I have" folk never were going to buy this round unless Apple came out with a mainframe in a 2lb package, BD-R, 15 USB 2.0 ports, 8 FW400 ports, 4 FW800 ports, 12 eSATA ports, S-Video, VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports, 56K modem, & mini monitor inside trackpad for $899 before $500 rebate.

Not me. I was thinking about buying the new one and giving this one to my brother. I have plenty of money to spend, so that isn't a problem for me. I will wait now.

My interpretations:

- I was waiting for a MBP
- I like the new design (will take a while to get used to the trackpad though)
- I'm hoping there is a HD upgrade to 500 GB and possibly a RAM upgrade too.
- I'm excited to see what's going on with the 17"
- Overall, pretty much what most of the REAL/SMART (those that know Apple and aren't just dreams) macrumors members were predicting.
- I will buy one in a couple weeks!
