Or OS X 10.1. You can't compare the price of a new OS to an antiquated one.or you can pick up Windows 3.11 on ebay for a couple of bucks
$129.00 dollars is incredibly cheap for a FULL (ultimate) OS. Even if you are a student. Foo to you guys complaining about the price. Go buy Vista... oops sorry it costs more, so you can't afford that either.![]()
The system requirements call for 9 GB of free disk space.
But remember, those 9 GB probably also include several GB of replacement files for stuff that is currently in Tiger. Once you clean your old Tiger installation out, you may find that 9 GB footprint isn't actually as bad as it seems up front.

Have I missed something?

you mean $10 it cost me to get Vista (ultimate full verson) is more than $129.00 you pay for an Upgrade of OSX. Wow my math skills must really suck because I do not see how 129 < 10

There IS only one version of Leopard, other than the server version. The family pack is also the same version but has a multi user license, so yes you bought the right one for a single user.
