There surely must be a £17.99 option for premier for individuals? Seems like they think single people don’t read the news or care about fitness.

i dont use arcade, bought a yearly music plan, spend $3/month for 200gb icloud, and turn on/off atv based on the month. steady $20 vs 11.25 +/- $5 on any given month is not a deal. i guess if i had any interest at all in Arcade maybe?

$30/month would be a deal if i had a monthly digital news or fitness subscription i could quit i guess

I have the same services from the Family plan and apparently I would save only $2 if I get apple one. Sounds like I should get the bundle but to be honest I expected a bit more in savings 😅

Not digging the way they clumped together these services that cost the same price per month. If I want the Family tier, why can't I change out Apple Arcade for something else? The same can be said about any of the services as well, especially if people prefer Tidal, Spotify or Pandora over Apple Music. I'll keep my iCloud and Apple Music Family separate for now.

Going with premier (34 Canadian) already have Apple Music, iCloud, and Apple news (parents use this one and are retired so it saves them some money) anyways. Right now, separate is around 27 bucks and on Apple TV for free right now so might as well upgrade.

Apple Music (Individual) - Annually $99
200GB iCloud (Family) - Annually $35.88 (Monthly $2.99)
Apple TV+ (Individual) - Annually $49.99

= $184.87

The plans as described would force me to upgrade to the "Family" package for everything which would be $239.40 per year.

I know I am in the minority here. However, in my case this is not a good deal.

I don't think Apple is forcing anyone here unless I misunderstood the announcement. You can still buy these services al a carte, yes?

I have no use for any of the other products except Music. I already have 2 TB and I am not a gamer, nor am I a fitness person, nor do I pay any attention to the news at all. And I have AppleTV+ already from a new iPhone and the shows were lackluster and dull like an ABC Family pristine clean McDonald's Bathroom.

On Individual and Family Bundles, not everyone plays games on Arcade, they should give you an option between Apple News, Fitness+, or Arcade. Not paying for something you don't use. It's just like CableTV package.

I'm a bit surprised people don't like these prices.

I'm already paying $2.99 for 200GB cloud, $14.99 for family music, and $4.99 for tv+.

I can get everything I currently have PLUS Arcade for $2 CHEAPER; or for $7 more, I get Arcade, News, and Fitness, and 10x more storage. All of which are $9.99 individually I believe? That seems like a pretty good deal to me!

What am I missing?

I am a 2TB iCloud subscriber. $9.99 a month. If the price were $19.99 per month, it would entice me to subscribe for Apple Music, keep TV+ after my year expires, and goof around with Arcade. Don't need News or Fitness. At $29.99 I'm thinking about how I don't need ANY of those extras and just $9.99 iCloud is OK by me.

The purpose of bundles is to get people to subscribe to additional services they wouldn't ordinarily. I signed up for Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ because you got a couple bucks off and the number was enticing; I was originally subscribing to Disney+ only. But the Apple package is asking me for $20 more a month when I'd only use half the services. If it were $10 a month more I'd sign up and then I would end up perhaps further into the ecosystem by starting to use News and Fitness.

Don't know why the Family tier has only 200GB though. I have only 3 members of the family and I'm at 300GB used.

I’m all in for the premier plan. I already have Apple Music family and 2 TB of iCloud storage. I did like News+ during my three month trial period but the cost was too high. Fitness+ will be a nice addition. Throw Apple Arcade and Apple TV+, it seems like a sweet deal for my situation.

NOTHNG! This sound too good to be true and it's coming from APPLE??? WOW!

I wonder how this works if you've paid in advance for Apple Music. I've used a few gift cards over the last several months and I'm paid up through the end of 2023.

Premier at $29.99 seems a pretty solid deal considering what it would all cost individually. And I'm surprised it is that price considering original rumors were it would be closer to $49.99 (so a minimal savings).

As for a la carte / mix and match options, that would defeat the purpose for offering a bundle. ;)

I currently only subscribe to the 200GB plan and will pay for AppleTV+ when my sub expires so likely will not go in on any of these deals, but I am glad Apple is offering them because bundled services packages are the future and those who do use most or all of the services can now see savings.

Welp.

I'm spending $20/mo on services now (Music, 2tb iCloud storage). The premier is a good deal for those who want News+, Arcade, TV+, and Fitness+...but I can't justify another $10 for those other services even though it's a good deal.

I was not saying they are forcing anyone. I am just saying that I am not the target audience for this discount. In their minds I would imagine this is more about easier billing rather than it being a bundled discount.

  • Individual: $5.97 savings (or $20.96 value)
  • Family: $7.97 savings (or $27.96 value)
  • Premier: $29.99 savings (or $54.94 value)
I am currently subscribing to iCloud 2TB ($9.99). I will be paying for Apple TV+ once the free year offer expires. So I will be getting Apple Music and Apple Arcade for free.

If you do annual billing the Individual is even less savings though

Music: $99 @$8.25/month
tv+: $49.99 @ $4.17/month
arcade: $49.99 @ $4.17/month
50gb: $0.99/month

Only $2.63 savings

Here's a question...

Wife and I have Apple Music for free from our Verizon plan, Apple News+ and family share of 200Gb. How would Apple One sync up with getting the service for free?

Apple Arcade is worthless to me. I'd totally jump on Music/TV/iCloud/News for $15/month. But at this point, I'll probably pass. I already have a year paid for of Spotify, I'm on the fence about whether I'm going to continue ATV+ after the free trial is over, and I already pay for 50GB iCloud plan.

The Premier is a saving for me. I have Apple TV+ £4.99, Apple Arcade £4.99 2TB iCloud £6.99 and Apple music Family £14.99 that's a total of £31.96 per month. The Premier plan works best for me plus I gain Apple News and Fitness+. It's a no-brainer really. Also is works with 5 member of the family so no issues there.

I’m currently at $218.88/yr for Music and 2TB iCloud. Don’t need Arcade, quite luke-warm on TV and News. So, is Fitness worth $141/yr ($11.75/mo)? Hmmm... 🤔

Edit: I’ve perused again the magazines on News+. There’s 6-8 of clear interest, plus another 2-3 of mild interest, so this easily validates the $30/mo for Premier. Take my money, Apple, you win!
