Very pleased with the pricing. I’ll save $3 and get an added subscription to arcade with the 2nd tier.

I’ll hold off on Premier till I hear some feedback on Fitness+. Hopefully there is a free trial.

Family Apple Music is already $14.99, 200 GB storage is $2.99. That's $17.98. The Family tier is no-brainer at that price, especially since we are already paying for Apple News too. (We're on a free trial of Apple TV+.) It would save us money.

If Premier includes Family sharing too, then it's an instant upgrade. It would make iCloud usable for Mac storage too.

It does!

  • Premier, where available, includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, and 2TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, and can be shared among up to six family members.

I currently pay $134.88 a year for the Annual Apple Music service plus 200GB iCloud Storage. So for only $44.52 more ($3.71 a month), I could also get Apple's walled garden games and Tim Cook's slate of TV shows. Sounds good but no, still not worth it; maybe if they threw in Apple News with it but frankly, those three services aren't doing it for me and no wonder they're trying to bundle them.

Currently I have:
Apple TV+ $5
Apple Music (Family) $15
iCloud 2TB $10
Total $30

Now I can have:
Apple TV+
Apple Music (Family)
iCloud 2TB
Fitness+
Arcade
News (Don't really care)
Total $30

Seems like a great deal to me.

I still can't understand their reasoning in making news+ on the higher tier, they should have swapped apple music+ with Apple news on the lower end so people wanting all in one and have apple music already would naturally go with that even if it costs them more. Putting news+ on the higher tier just really doesn't make sense. The only people buying the upper tier would be people with an Apple Watch really and people who already have apple music and with them already paying a sub for Apple music might be inclined more to find value in an all one sub which they still have apple music plus and now a bunch of services they wouldn't have got in the first place... But what do I know.

My family is already spending $9.99 for 2TB iCloud storage and $14.99 for Apple Music, so going to the premier plan is a no brainer for us since we were already going to want to do the fitness service too. Good value for us.

Is "Premier" part of the Family Sharing? I'm planning on getting that for my Family and me.
It's not clear in the story, but that has to be the case considering the Family Plan is lower tier (they wouldn't remove features for the higher tier). Others have agreed.

Yeah it's a no brainer if you have 2TB, Family Music, and Apple TV+. I really want News+ to be good, but damn it's annoying how hard it is to find magazines on there.

I'll have to ponder this... I'm Music and News+ at the moment, plus $2.99 for 200GB. Don't really need the additional space. So basically paying $23 a Mo. I'll buy a new phone in Oct/Nov, so does that give me ATV+ or will I need to pay the $5? If not, I'd be at $28... is fitness and arcade worth the extra $2? Likely so.. but if ATV+ comes with new phone, is it worth the extra $7?

I'll probably do it

The family plan works for my situation. It will be $2 more than I pay now (Apple Music + iCloud) but Apple TV and Arcade might be worth it for the extra cost.

The Premiere is the best deal though.

The trick is to load up on 15% off iTunes gift cards (sometimes 20% off and very rarely, even more). That makes the family plan cost $17 per month and the premiere $25.50 (or less).
Unfortunately they changed their gift cards....you wont see those discounts any more is my guess...but if you had bought a tonne of gift cards, you can now use them to buy Apple hardware, which you previously coud NOT do!
