Just wanted to share this. Going to purchase history, it shows refunds for current billing cycle of both Apple Music and iCloud storage after I signed up for Apple One Premier.

Thanks - I've just checked mine and can see the same: all 3 of my last payments for the services are showing as refunded (although I haven't seen the refunds yet :)). That looks great news (but it would have been better if they made it clearer when you subscribe!)

OK I finally got it to work. Be warned the price is not prorated. I literally just had my Apple Music payment come off my Apple Card yesterday and I was charged full price today for the bundle.
Lame, but since the first month is free at least you’re not double-paying for anything.

That's a bunch of crap. Apple should prorate.

i think that's why everyone gets a "free" month of Apple One to compensate for the period of overlap. if you REALLY want a truly free month I see little choice but to cancel all your subscriptions to apple services, allow them to expire in the next month and THEN sign up for apple one. there is no period of time you should be double paying for monthly services however since they did get the free month of Apple One to account for that.

My Apple music payment came through yesterday, do we pay in advance for these services? Or did I pay for Nov?
Yes in advance. And this is why you should get credited the second you get Apple One or get a lower rate for One the first month

Considering my tv + is free till feb, and there’s student pricing on music...
(I don’t use news+ but do use 2tb iCloud and the rest)

the premier package isn’t worth it
plus I know I’m getting the 12 pro max and series 6 watch and I’m sure that comes with some trial anyways

trouble is I get apple music yearly for £99, pay £2.49/month for 200GB iCloud storage and have 1 year appleTV free with my iPhone 12. So I am getting everything for the equivalent of £10.74/month (a bit less when getting a small discount on iTunes vouchers to cover apple Music each year I renew).

So about £10/month to £20 is a big jump just to get Apple arcade which I may or may not be interested in, in future. Will review in 12 months time when everything is up for renewal. But honestly apple is a bit stingy on the iCloud storage, I shoot video on the iPhone so could do with about 300GB not 200GB for that money. If they upped the low and mid iCloud storage tiers I'd be tempted in future. Right now, i'm looking at other cloud storage options...

Why though? If you are getting Apple Music for free through Verizon, then just get the other services you want from Apple separately. That would still be cheaper than getting a bundle. Once Verizon's free Apple Music promotion expires, cancel Apple Music through them and then switch to a bundle from Apple. Is there any benefit to continue getting Apple Music through Verizon after the free promotion ends? They charge $9.99, the same price as Apple does.
Not the OP, but I think I can answer this a bit. So, for me, I get Apple Music for free through Verizon indefinitely (or until I change my plan to something else that doesn't include it indefinitely). This, of course, could change in a year and they may remove it. But, for me, I like Apple TV+ so I would subscribe to that, so that is $5 a month; I have 2 TB of iCloud Storage so that is $10 a month; My MIL is under my family plan and pays $10 a month for her own personal Apple Music subscription (through my payment method); I am going to want to use Fitness+ when it comes out so that will be another $10 a month. So, currently with those I will be at $35 a month for all of these things NOT including News OR Arcade (which I like some of the games in Arcade so I may want that at some point too). Does not seem like a deal to me in that respect to just get the services I want and keep the free Apple Music from Verizon. On the other side of the coin, though, I could cancel Apple Music from Verizon and do the bundle.

Just odd and now requires me to think about all of this to find out if it is worth it or not.

So people are moaning about Apple not doing something when what they are doing is more generous...

Depends how you paid. I paid for a year of Apple Arcade. Looking at my subscriptions and refunds it appears I'm just **** out of luck in that regard... 🤷‍♂️

if you already subscribe to the services you don’t get a free month. They refund your individual subscriptions for the full month, and charge you for One immediately. It works out to your advantage.

so weird that Apple's site doesn't allow me to sign up? Nor does MacOS.

It refunded all Apple Services I had already paid for for the month of October automatically:
- Apple Music Family
- iCloud 2TB
- Apple News+
- Apple Arcade

I got Apple One Premier.

Well I was charged in full but going through my history I do see where they are saying I will be refunded for the individual purchases. Nothing has hit my Apple Card as of now though of course.

Didn’t know you could pay for arcade for a year. Wonder if they’ll do some sort of prorating in that case.

Apple One bundles are now available in the United States and over 100 other countries, allowing customers to subscribe to multiple Apple services through a single plan, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud, and more.

To sign up for Apple One on an iPhone, tap on the Settings app > Your Name > Subscriptions. The prompt for Apple One is still in the process of showing up for all users, so keep checking if you don't see it right away.

In addition to getting unified billing, customers can save money by bundling services together with Apple One. At the low end, the Individual tier offers savings of $6 per month, while the Family plan offers a savings of over $8 per month, and the Premier plan offers a savings of over $25 per month, compared to standard monthly pricing.

An overview of the three tiers of Apple One available:
  • Individual: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage for $14.95 per month
  • Family: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 200GB of iCloud storage for $19.95 per month, can be shared among up to six family members
  • Premier: Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, Apple Fitness+, and 2TB of iCloud storage for $29.95 per month, can be shared among up to six family members
At launch, the Premier tier is limited to the United States, Australia, Canada, and the UK, as these are the only countries where Apple News+ is currently available. And while the Premier tier includes Apple's new Fitness+ service, which will offer workout videos and more, the service does not launch until later this year.

Apple One includes a 30-day free trial for any Apple services that customers do not already have. Once subscribed, customers can use the services included in their bundle on any platform where the services are available, such as the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and more.

To save even more, customers in the United States can pay for their Apple One subscription plan with the Apple Card to receive 3% Daily Cash per month.

Good news is that they have consolidated my other subscriptions to all be a part of the Apple One at the end of the 30 day trial...
