Well, he can't be any worse than Jeff Bezos. Don't know if you watched the press conference for the new Kindles, but that guy has zero presentation skills and the charisma of a brick wall.
To me, I think Apple will have a 4S and a 5. The 4S will have changes to the current iPhone 4 to fix antenna issues and to consolidate the various CDMA/GSM hardware components. The iPhone 5 will be the redesigned version. And as for the 16 month delay, I think that had more to do with iCloud than anything else. My two cents, for what it's worth.
If this is the only iPhone coming, then why does the cdma version just say 4 and not 4s? That suggests no update to the cdma version at all. This seems to confirm an iphone 5 to me.

Anyone notice how the invite to Tuesdays event had 4 iPhone icons with the date, location, time, and the phone icon with a ONE??? I wonder if that indicates they will only release one phone...the iPhone 4s FTL.

the bolded statement. so just cause it looks the same ish as the 4, maybe bigger screen to the bezel, no one knows yet, doesn't mean it isn't a substantial upgrade, what is adding a new camera, processor, os made for the upgraded in-ards, voice command thing that is rumored to be massive if it works like people think it may, it's like people said no one would buy the 3gs i bet after the 3g, oh, they did lol, and in 7/8 months a new iphone will be out again if they do it in june, so they can just wait till then to change the looks, or after 8 months are people going to moan again that the 5/6 isn't a diff form factor again.
think of this 1 idea too, people bought iphone 4 on a 2 year contract, i can't see they won't break it to get the 5 if there contract isn't up till next june which is when so many peoples contracts would be up just as apple if they stick to june next year and not keep the oct release time, so bang for all them people to upgrade.
I think they will be releasing the iPhone 5-4Gs.
My hope is that it has some form of 4g connection for tethering and a bit more battery life would be nice. (I know, pick on of the two.)

The current Verizon iPhone 4 doesn't go away with new phones-- it must still be accounted for.

After doing a bit of research, I understand they only sent the image to one developer to see if the file would show up on Macrumors. I am guessing someone lost their developer account today.

I am not to worried if there isn't a redesign. The computers don't see routine redesigns. But they see great improvements. I like the IP4 design. If they can make internal hardware improvements along with a kick ass operating system I will be very happy.

He did the iPad 2 after everyone wrote off the idea and is still Apple's most senior executive
If they only release a 4S that would be a HUGE mistake for Apple.
People aren't stupid enough to buy a minor upgrade (if the rumors are true) and settle with an iPhone 4S after waiting 15 months.
Hopefully an iPhone 5 will be released with this...if not Apple won't be getting any of my money.

Right, that's what I am saying, it had a 1 (one) in the phone icon. Again, I am assuming it means 1 phone, if it had a 2, then maybe they would be launching a 2.
Like everyone, I will completely disappointed if they don't launch the 5...
