Well I'm all installed and am rather enjoying iOS 5!

I don't know if I should have but I signed up to iCloud, created an @me and logged into the web based version - it all looks great.

Anybody else done the same?

VZW iPhone 4 here currently running 4.2.8 jailbroken and using 10.5 beta 9 on a mac... it keeps getting to the point where it verifies with apple then says device is not eligible... I'm not registered as a dev.. i tried in DFU mode as well.. anyone else having this issue??

I'm getting the same error on my wifi iPad 2 as well... (also jailbroken but on 4.3.3)

Check your hosts file. Probably messed up due to TinyUmbrella.

is there anyway to update from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS 5.. i keep getting an error after clicking check for update button and yes i am opening the correct IPSW.

No, read the thread. You have to restore. Backup and then do a restore.

GSM iP4 up and running with iOS5 here.

No problems, doesn't require UDID.

Has anybody turned on iCloud yet? I just left it off on mine.

Restore with work computer

At work now, can I backup/restore with a computer that's not synced with my iphone 4?

So I am using iTunes 10.5 Beta 9(10.5b132, 64 bit) downloaded from the web. But when I chose restore, it gave me the message that my iPad isn't "eligible for the requested build"?! In other words, Apple is NOT signing it!

Yes, I have and was pointing to the correct IPSW.

Anyone having this issue?

I am on an MBP with OS X Lion 7.1, and am NOT a dev, if this matters.

Would like to have iOS 5 on my iPad, set up an iCloud account, and experience the new iMessaging system and other features.

Have had this issue before, follow how to in link and it should fix the problem.

in the process of downloading IOS5 GM for my iPad 1 and GSM iphone 4.

Does IOS5 affect the baseband? I'm willing to give up my jailbreak for a few weeks until one is released, but will hold off on the upgrade if the baseband is affected.

Thanks!

In terms of Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 GM do i download the delta update or the combo update? I am currently on 10.7.1?

Thank you

Just updated my ipad 2 to the gm.. and it looks like they removed mirroring? Or its not working for some reason

Update: Seems I need ios 5 on my apple tv 2? Anyone know how to come across the gm for atv2?

Except I do NOT have TinyUmbrella installed, though. My iPad is 4.3.5 JBed with Redsnow.

I do not want to install TinyUmbrella on my MBP to possibly mess up things--I need to read more on that. So I tried the manual solution in your link, but I did NOT see an entry like this:

5. Find the line 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com and/or 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com and Add # sign to the front of it or delete the line(s).

Actually, I do not know how to open the /etc/hosts file with Textedit, so I used Terminal. And this is the command I used in Terminal:

sudo nano /etc/hosts

Here is a screen shot of the Terminal window:

Any ideas??

Thanks!

iMessage

On previous builds I had problems with iMessage syncing up between two devices (e.g. if a friend sent me an iMessage from his iPhone and then from his iPad it wouldn't show as one message, rather, it would show up as two separate messages. Anyone know if this has been fixed?

Anyone here with an iPad 2 3G+UMTS+GPS? I just updated to the GoldMaster (9A334) but i just can't get location based reminders to work. I just see "alarm me on a certain day".. not on a location. What am i doing wrong? Restored the iPad 3 times already.. no success. Locationservices are activated and working in every app. Reminders not even asks me for permission..
