Just wondering since I've been seeing two variations.. Iphone 4G, Iphone 4.. I am assuming that 4G refers to the fourth generation, but is it only for 3G networks?

I read some where ATT is supposed to deploy their 4G network by end of 2010, if I buy this this year... would it even work on 4G next year?

If not, I'm just going to wait.

4G sucks Battery pretty bad. Ask any EVO user.

EVO -- The only thing it had going was its screen,...Now HaHa

How did they miss this? Nokia has been using that in the last century! :D

Meh of the decade!

  • Video Chat - who really gives a rats? Not I.

  • "anywhere there's WiFi" - Ha; nowhere in Australia then.

  • 5 megapixel camera - woop-di-doo, my old N95 had that and a CZ lens and a proper lens cover. Don't get me started on pixel density; because you are wrong!

  • LED Flash - for f*ck's sake.

  • Apps - schmapps.

  • Build quality - who cares, it's not a computer, I'll want a new one in two years when my contract runs out anyway.

It doesn't matter if some of you hate it or wont buy it. The fact of the matter is millions will because 1) its Apple and 2) It's the new Iphone. Get used to the idea.

love this post right next issue prices outside of the states

Video calling and interoperability

Apple is continually releasing innovative wireless applications. However, it will be nice for them to start fixing minor issues such as, interoperability, flash compatibility and video calling. I still give then thumbs UP!

I'll take the superior iphone 4 screen over the terrible but slightly larger screen of Evo any day.

If the EVO screen was terrible, I'd agree with you. And since when was an inch diagonally "slightly" bigger. You fanboys seriously gotta work a little harder than this. You're making it too easy to play spot the dullard.

Wow call me impressed.

Thought this phone was nothing to fuss over, but that video just changed my mind.

Let's see.... Video Chat... I don't care, but many do.

Anywhere there's WIFI... I guarantee you it's all about bandwidth. I'm sure the phone carriers want time to prepare.

5MP Camera... this I like. Dude... it's not about megapixels that makes great pictures... its the quality of the CCD and the lens. Since this is a feak'n phone (PHONE... not Camera) the lens is going to be limited and sounds like they've put in a killer CCD.

LED Flash... again... PHONE dude! Go buy a camera if you want more!

Apps Schmapps???? What do you have against Apps? Go buy a non-smart phone.

Build Quality... I care! It's one of the things that makes Apple products so good. They care about quality and it's great to see them focus on the quality of the body for this version. Again... it's a phone... it gets dropped. Quality makes a difference.

My take on the iPhone 4.... I'll get one as soon as I can lay my hands on one. A killer upgrade from the current model and iOS4 looks great!

Your in the wrong forum you bitter bast*rd! You are certainly in the minority on not being blown away with the iPhones evolution.

This is just like the phone browser issue revisited. Mobile phones have been web capable for years but they were clunky and horrible until the iPhone changed that. Sure, it's late into the game; but it's the 1st user-friendly web capable phone. Video calls have been around for a long time; but I have a feeling Apple's implementation would be a lot smoother and friendlier than all the other phones with video call feature right now.

Best two parts for me (at least the little clip):
-The front and the back are the same glass
-They shrank the A4? Or was that just a graphic thing?

WWDC is 5 days long, today was only the first day. There are still 4 more days of announcements, news, etc

Damn, great looking phone. Despite having to swallow my vomit watching that marketing video, I'm definitely going to buy one. :D

In other news... since there was no mention of any Mac Pro / iMac / Monitor / AppleTV updates, any idea when the next possible launch day for one of these could be?

Wow, your post literally contributed to this thread in no way, shape or form. It isn't even an opinion with factual information, just pure babble with no intelligence. Don't buy one, simple. It's more iPhone's for those of us that understand things like business models, technology progression, and market appeal. Go ahead, call me a fanboy. That seems to be the cop out of choice for those that can't come up with a logical explanation with facts to back their opinion.
