It says "Live Broadcast" for me. Having worked in TV for the past 15 years, that usually means it's a live broadcast.

Well, tell me once it starts... I bet you never get your "live broadcast". I think they had something there for a short while to test the link, but that's it.

This isn't going to be a 'live stream'. Even the text says 'live-on-demand stream'. on-demand means you can watch it whenever you want. This is a stub for them to put the finished stream on once it's over.

Who found this link? It's not anywhere on the http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/appleevents/ page. So most likely someone ran into this link by mistake or was fed it by an insider, but it's not going to go live probably for at least an hour after the event is over.

That's my guess anyway, I could be wrong, but it doesn't feel like this link is going to work for a while.
In Past Apple Streamed These Events Live Every Time So It's Not Inconceiveable this will be streamed live - especially since there is a new Paris Apple Expo just opened live today.

there is NO mini-tower, thats just a dream made up by impossible-to-please apple fans.

agreed. and I think the whole live and transporting Steve from North America to Europe all in real time live live live is the point of it all anyway.
And tomorrow you'll be able to do the same thing from your comfy couch. just $1499.

I think the likelyhood of anyone connecting to the stream is
about zero. :D

I'm right there with ya... I agree. 1 minute left, anyone seeing anything? Didn't think so..

I say "LIVE"

For all past events, the streams were posted much later in the day and no link existed until then. This is different. It has to be a live stream because that's the only way Steve could skip the trip to Paris. On top of that, I don't want to spend my $6 for airport wi-fi for nothing.

Irrelevant unless your 15 years included admin'ing Quicktime Streaming Server.

Live Broadcast as stated before, says that for ALL streamed media, it is purely a stub for later.

Will it auto start?

Maybe in your dreams... this "live broadcast" should start about an hour or two after the event is over. AND most likely you're going to have to close down that quicktime window and start a new one.
