Just give me one with 128GB and Apple Pay and I'll be first in the queue... (Sod Force Touch)

I totally want a 4' iPhone, I'm hooked with my 3.5' 4s.
I can handle it with 1 hand only.
I'm sicked of all 4'++ Handys.

1997 at the start of cellphones we were mocking big handys as "shoes". Yet they were smaller than todays 6'
What is this 4'++ mania sudently? The revenge of the shoes?

I still use an iPhone 5C (32 GB) and still believe it was a true marvel of engineering with its clean and smooth minimalistic design, no antenna bands, no protruding camera lense, no sharp corners - simply beautiful. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with next in a 4" screen size, which is perfect for my needs.

It will actually be a good move to have both spring & autumn releases for iOS devices, imo, with simpler and colourful models coming out first and more serious & classier ones - in the autumn, as usual. More happy customers, another income flow, less cannibalisation - nice.

4" iPhone must and will happen! There is relatively big demand for it with people who want one-handed use and also sporty folks for better mobility. If they need a bigger screen, there is iPad!

Spring event:
- iPhone 4" (this could be the iPhone 6C, same casing design as 6-models in different colors. Or ipod touch casing design and colors. Or it will be a 'Mini/Sport' model, read a rumor once, robust/waterproof, no headphonejack etc. Anyway there will be some kind of bundle-deals with the Watch) (A9, 2gb RAM, 8MP cam, TouchID, maybe 3D-Touch, 16/64/128gb)
- Watch 2 & watchOS 3 (little bit thinner, little bit faster, little more functionality) also annual upgrade-program like iPhone, maybe bundled
- iPad Air 3 (A9X, 3gb RAM, 32gb & 128gb options, pencil support, keyboard case) maybe there won't ever be 3D-Touch in iPads because it doesnt make sense, you can already today emulate the homebutton with four fingers, peek and pop is not needed on the big screen surface. IPads often rest on tables or laps or stands in cases on tables, so haptic feedback and 3D-Touch is not a musthave feature. I could be wrong.
- TV anouncments (software or service updates), maybe controller

WWDC:
- iOS 10 (e.g. multiple user accounts on iPad)
- OS X 10.12 Frisco (e.g. TouchID for mobile Macs)
- MacBook 12", redesigned MacBook Pro 14" and 16"
- MacBook Air hangs around like non-Retina MacBook Pro, which will die
- iMac 21" non-Retina will also hang around, (but they have no real future)
- Mac mini has no future i guess, will also hang in some time without refreshment
- MacPro revision (faster, ThunderBolt 3, etc.)

iPhone-Event:
- iPhone 7 and 7 plus. Storage will be 32gb and 128gb. Robust/waterproof, circonium/ceramic back, more like iPhone 5 design with chamfered edges. Obviously A10 chip.....

ok, here it gets slippery on predicting the future. But i think that the small 4" phone will be kind of a sporty model that will test/introduce some of the iPhone 7 novelties in the field like being waterproof, no headphone jack. Also the bundle-deal with the Watch!!! We'll see them with iPhone 7 promoted.
iPhone 7 with frameless & buttonless design will be of comparable size as the new 4"-option.

That's the point where I and the mainstream will jump on the Watch-hype with an unbeatable fast interaction method for notifications/communication on our wrists on-the-go/in-the-car, 4"phone in the pocket most of the time, just out for some casual browsing and playing/photographing, and for 'serious' browsing an iPad (mini) in my bag.

And now: hit me with your comments and job offers as a def analyst ;)

I think a major "problem" Apple has is the following.

First of all, yes it would be great to have 3 different sized IPhones which have the same specs.

However if Apple also wants to offer something in a lower price segment than their flag ships are this would lead to less selled higher prices IPhones.

I think the costs for Apple to produce 3 equal phones which just have different sizes would be more or less the same. Or let the 5,5 inch phone be 20$ more expensive than the 4 inch phone........to provide a phone for the lower priced market the 4 inch phones entry will be somewhere at 500-550 USD....no idea but it must be much cheaper than the flag ships.

But if it would have the same specs for sure much more people would buy it and therefore those people would not buy an more expensive flag ship and therefore Apple would "lose" money.

I think thats one of the major reasons, why the phones also have to differentiate on specs.

Personally, I'd like to see them standardise with a 4", 5" and 6", without crippling any model.

4" is popular for those that use it as a handy second device, 6" would be popular with those that use it as their primary computer / web interface. The 5" will suit those somewhere in-between.

Nothing against the plastic of the 5c, it seemed to be a very solid phone....I think it was the toyish colors that doomed it. A black model would have sold many more but I think Apple didn't want "adults" to trade down to it so they only released the "kiddie" colors.

So basically he/she knows nothing and is just guessing. How is this newsworthy?

I really doubt Apple would increase the RAM right after they just did! Look how long it took them to go from 1gb to 2gb!

Similarly, if Apple does indeed come out with a 4" phone, I doubt it will omit 3D Touch. Apple is trying to deepen its use throughout iOS and third party apps - but 3rd party apps won't bother if this feature will continue to work on only some iPhones! Just as with TouchID, all future iPhones will have 3D Touch.
This reminds me of that clown Gene Munster who predicted the 5C would be a "cheap" phone and would not have a camera or Siri. Seriously these guys are clowns.

A lot of people were/are happy with a 5c.
A lot of people don't know what they are buying.
What was wrong with the 5c? Wasn't it just the previous years model in a plastic case?
A half as fast mobile computer with an outdated 32-bit processor for just a $100 less. Nobody should have bought the 5c. It was a horrible deal.

The white one is cool. :)

Nice predictions.

Playing devil's advocate somewhat: I think that Apple deliberately stopped the 4" iPhone because of the Apple Watch. They wanted people to buy the Apple Watch because their iPhones were now so big. Yes, I know the watch works with the iPhone 5, but they wanted to discourage the 4" size to make the watch seem more compelling.

However, I sense that watch sales are not anywhere near the level that Apple want them to be, despite what Cook might say in public. Therefore, Apple are falling back on Plan B: reintroduce the 4" iPhone. What's more, despite the excellent iPhone sales, I think that a lot of people are holding back from the big iPhones, Apple realise this, and are planning the 4" size accordingly, maybe even as soon as the Spring; hence this rumour.

Even though Ming-Chi Kuo has a fine track record, his expected release dates aren't.

In 2012 he expected the iPad Air 2 to be released early 2013 - it wasn't.

In 2014 he expected the iPad Pro to be released early 2105 - it wasn't.

In 2014 he expected the iPhone 6s to be delayed and released early 2016 - it wasn't.

He sure likes his "early next year" predictions, and Apple hasn't released anything "early next year" for years.

the iphone 4 had 256mb ram, the iphone 4s had 512ram, the iphone 5 doubled that and had 1gb ram. it's not surprising that apple would go 3gb on the iphone 7, but having only the iphone 7 plus with 3 gb sucks but i could see it happening. i just hope that the iphone 7 hads small bezels that makes the iphone 7 plus easier to use as well as less heavy.

I knew what I was buying. I got a brand new unsold stock iPhone 5C (32 GB) just after they discontinued them and went with the 8 GB versions only. I still use it with iOS 9.1 and it works fine for my needs - a phone, email checker, full-on GPS, etc. Obviously, iPhones 5S, 6, 6S do the same stuff faster, it is just that this "faster margin" is so tiny that unless you put all of them side by side, it is virtually unnoticeable in day-to-day use.

And yet every time he puts out one of his research notes it's the top story on every Apple rumor site as though he's actually spilling the beans on something in reality he's just making predictions, some of which happen and some don't, and some are laughably obvious (like Apple releasing a new phone with an A10 processor next year) that they don't even deserve any ink.

I am pretty sure my own predictions over the past 3 years have been more accurate than Kuo

I think your pumping up your own tyres a bit too much there!

A couple years back he put our a road map and it was mauled on this site, yet it was quite accurate. Some of it stuff that nobody expected as well. He gets it right more than most. I really don't understand the disdain people have for him.

The iphone 4 had 512Mb ram
4s also 512, but dual core.

5 -> 1Gb
5s ->1Gb
6 -> 1Gb
6S ->2Gb

Then you expect them to increase to 3Gb now?

Ipad pro has 4GB ram. I think the next move is not 3Gb but 4Gb. but that is not for at least 2 years.Maybe iphone 8 will have 4GB.
