I totally want a 4' iPhone, I'm hooked with my 3.5' 4s.
I can handle it with 1 hand only.
I'm sicked of all 4'++ Handys.

1997 at the start of cellphones we were mocking big handys as "shoes". Yet they were smaller than todays 6'
What is this 4'++ mania sudently? The revenge of the shoes?
I don't have big hands, but I can easily use it one handed....

I've just upgraded to a 6S after spending 3 years on a 4. I'm finding it hard to adapt as I prefer to smaller form factor.

A 4" screen is very appealing. Will see where this goes. I disabled 3D Touch in the first couple of hours so I don't mind if this new phone doesn't have it.

Why would you disable 3D touch? Sure I don't use it very often, but it also doesn't get in the way as far as I can tell.

I'm sure there will be some people who crave the smaller iphone. It's funny tho, you'd think petite women would be the main group craving a smaller iphone...and yet I notice more of them going for the current 5.5" iphone 6 plus over the smaller 4.7" iPhone 6.

After all my deliberations about wanting to keep 4" phones, I've come to the conclusion that it's not the screen size that I had a problem with, it's the physical dimensions of the phone itself.

If Apple can fit a 4.7" display into roughly the dimensions of the 5S I'd be very, very happy.

Easier to find in the handbag :p

I still use it with iOS 9.1 and it works fine for my needs.
Of course you still use it, it's just two years old. But phones are about to get fast enough to be used and updated for five or more years to come. But not if they are 32-bit only. There will be a future iOS version which still supports the 5s but not 5c, despite both being released at the same day. The cost-benefit ratio of any computer depends on how long you will use it. And for how long Apple will support it with updates.

My mother uses barely a gigabyte on her iPhone 16GB.

This is a market segmentation strategy. Are you complaining on forums every day that airlines charge 2x, 5x for basically the same flight in different classes?

Get over it, it's business.

My mom for other hand need to delete content every single week(and she don't use apps, only fotos) , 16GB in a 500+ dollar product is not business, is atrocious.

All we need to do is look at the source of this rumor and realize we can ignore it.

On the other hand, a lower cost iPhone would hit the spot. My 3GS still rocks and I don't really need all the performance of 6S so a slightly slower, smaller model would be great for upgrade time.
I look at the source of the rumor and believe it. This guy has been correct on countless things, including outrageous claims of a smaller iPad , not one but two phones a year ago, a plastic cheaper iPhone, and an outrageous maxi iPad... oh wait... it all happened.

I agree...16gb is a paltry level of storage. However, this complaint is so worn and, honestly, irrelevant. 16gb is the minimum, and is a choice people can avoid. If you are not comfortable with only 16gb, there are 2 additional options.

Go to any car manufacturer's site and build any car. Every single one of them will show a starting MSRP, which is generally a really appealing price. "Wow, I did not know I could get a _____ for that little...I thought that they were so much more expensive!"

Then build it. Add that awesome color you really want (+$1,000). Add navigation (+$1,700). Add leather seating (+$1,200). Add the moonroof (+$1,000). Oh, and don't forget the 19" wheel/tire package (+$2,000). All of a sudden, that car is thousands upon thousands more than the starting MSRP.

You will have that same experience with virtually any purchase. New laptop, AV receiver, bicycle, whatever. Companies nearly always have multiple options, the lowest cost offering the lowest specifications. Quite simple.

Well, if you refer to core app, even if you don't use it (i don't use Stock or Wallet for instance), as bloatware, you should take a look at some Android devices ...

The main point is that they all have it. Not who has more.

Not sure about the A9 in this "small" iPhone, as the lineup will be weird with the iPhone 6 + A8 in the middle.
I think if Apple would release one, it would come with an A8 with 1GB RAM. I mean Apple already did it, i.e. the 6th gen iPod Touch. Same panel, just making it into an iPhone.

I feel the A8 is going to be the new A5. right now it is the most widely use Ax chip after the A5. It is in the iPod Touch, Apple TV, iPad mini 4, iPhone 6.

We were begging for 2GB of RAM for years, and it was predicted a few years before it actually happened. I'll believe the 3GB of RAM when I see it. When the iPad gets 3GB, the iPhones may get it.

Every year someone predicts a new phone in early new year, and every year doesn't happen.. of course.

1 new phone per year.
