Apple Pulls iPadOS 18 for M4 iPad Pro After Bricking Complaints [Updated]

Thats is weird that Apple pulled the update however it is still seen on my Ipad Pro M4 as of Wednesday
evening.
This is why I never do a major version upgrade for at least several weeks (months for macOS), unless there is some serious security or functional issue that requires it.
I typically wait until an "x.3" minor version release before moving from major version x-1 to x
I prefer to let the vast population of beta-testers (aka "early adopters") find all the bugs for me.

You are seeing the beta version not the official release of 18.0

After updating my iPad Pro (M4) to iPadOS 18 by using the IPSW file, it has raised some issues:
- The search function in the Music app is unusable.
- The Messenger app (by Facebook) is unstable due to the new TabView. However, I believe this issue can be resolved with an app update.

It’s still not available OTA from the iPad. Apple stopped signing the ipadOS it released on Monday.

The article is taking about the stable release of 18. You are seeing the 18.1 beta which is not affected.

i am on 12.9 m2 ipad pro 6th generation and i can not shutdown device after ipados 18. it restarts automatically after shutdown.

I was at the Genius Bar yesterday and today and they are trying to install iOS 18 onto my M4! They said they know nothing about M4’s being bricked and the software being pulled…

It was pulled and is no longer being signed by Apple. That is why you don’t see it.

Have there been any updates from Apple on when we'll see the fixed iPadOS 18? I just bought an iPad Pro, kinda wanted to take 18 for a spin. I'm only able to install 17.7.
