That would be awesome. For folks with desktop work set up, that would be great. I still have the old keyboard prior to the Touch ID and never felt it was justifiable to get a new keyboard for that.

Yes! Why is the TKL layout so difficult to find in normal keyboards. It's the best layout!

Yup, which is why I’ll stick with my Logitech keyboards. Such a simple thing to continually leave out.

I have around 15 years old apple keyboard wired in front of me and its the same, has all the icons you refer to as new.. you really didn't have that in USA?? huh

The part of a full size Magic Keyboard I want is those full size arrow keys.

Yeah I still have two hanging around. I was about to order a usbC to lightning adapter for all my other UsbC chords instead of replacing my barley hanging one lightning ones
It's going to take years for it to fully disappear. I was so happy when I finally got a USB-C iPhone, but I too still have older iPhones and peripherals still on Lightning. Getting harder and harder to find good cables for a reasonable price.
I think if they would rip off 16" macbook pro keyboard + backlit + extra buttons = it would be a win.

Too bad they didn't fix it to be comfortable or responsive.
Good luck identifying Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, Insert, or the numpad Return key. Those glyphs are useless and the position of the keys is doing all the heavy lifting.
The one thing I do like is the repositioned TouchID sensor. I wish Apple would just sell a TouchID button or integrate it into the Magic Trackpad so I can have it along with a comfortable typing experience.

Apple UI has so many symbols with no words, it’s harder and harder to use. So why not make the keyboard cryptic too?
So, it is only the ANSI variant that has changed and all the ISO versions remain the same?

Eh? My 1st-gen Magic Keyboard has all those keys as symbols only.
The only keys with words are Esc, Control, Option and Command; fn on the function key, and F1 to F19.
TIL that there are still many people who have to actually look at their keyboards to type. A backlight would just be an unnecessary battery drain for me and I already get annoyed at having to plug in my keyboard (funny enough, this thread reminded me to check, and mine was at 11% so I just plugged it in).
I miss having a regular keyboard but for Touch ID, I deal with it, as Touch ID is so much more convenient than having to type my long password and it's always a real downgrade for me when I go to do anything on my Linux box without it.

Has some sort of law been passed I’m unaware of that mandates every other article on the internet has to use the word ‘quietly’ in the title?

I don't see it as much different than car warning lights moving to pictograms or road signs moving to pictures for making it understandable for people using other languages.
