The macbook and I just werent meant to be!!

so I got an email from apple yesterday saying there was a problem with my order, I needed to fax in school stuff to show I was a student for ADC. Ok I did that. Now today I get another email saying there was a problem with my credit card, ugh. I called the credit card company and they put a block on the card because it hasn't been used in a while and then a big order went through on it. So I got that straightened out, called back apple...it actually went through this time...no shipping update yet. I know a few people got them yesterday...would there be a chance that I would get mine tomorrow?

How did your guys' ship so quick. I ordered off the edu store tuesday night at about 5:45 PST. My ship date is oct 31st and getting here by nov 3rd. Is there any way to speed this up? Should i call them?

I'm still confused as to why I ordered after some people and mine shipped before theirs. I ordered at 1:10PM PST and it shipped yesterday, to be arriving ~ Oct. 30. How long does it take the FedEx website to update with the status? I'm getting antsy! It says it was picked up at Shanghai at 8:09PM Oct. 25...

I just ended up cancelling my order placed on Tuesday for CTO 15". I ended up with a discount that they weren't able to shift over. So I cancelled and reordered about an hour ago (the discount was close to $200 for EPP program so I decided I'd suffer any delays and save the $ - I do have a machine here that's working fine). I tried to not have to re-do order with two different reps before giving up, I was not excited about moving again to back of line... anyway...

The interesting thing is that when I re-ordered TODAY I ended up with same shipping estimate, Oct. 31. I'm surprised that the estimate didn't move forward at least a day, or the two I expected. I'm sure that I'll get my machine later in the end (the real shipping date) but thought I'd post that info. for others trying to parse their status.

Ah, thought so. My Apple MM/Keyboard, cheap (free after rebate) printer and EMEA CC-HE Contract Uplift are all shipping via UPS but I still can't track via UPS's website yet. My actual MBP is marked as Merge in Transit GB.

I think that all depends on configuration: I ordered mine af 9 AM PDT (2.33, glossy, 160 GB) and I still haven't been charged (so I think they didn't build it).
Other people with more standard configuration had their MBP alreasy shipped.

Yeah, mine was a base 15" model, no modifications; I'm a college student - I don't need much more than they just gave me!

My order is broken down into three parts on the Apple Order Status page.

The first for the printer, this has a tracking number. The second is for the mouse, keyboard and HE uplift which also has a tracking number.
Both are shipping via UPS but I cannot track either (using the tracking numbers provided) on the UPS website. I have confirmed they are valid UPS tracking numbers and that I am not confusing them with anything else. The error returned when attempting to track them states that the shipping details could not be found and it has been like this for a little over 24 hours thus far.

The MBP, also marked as shipped, has no tracking number and has a shipping method of 'Merge in Transit GB'.

I'm assuming that all these shipments will eventually come together and be delivered as one.

Best guess, somewhere between October 31, and the third week in January. They have to be switched by then because Intel's discontinuing Core 1 by the end of this year I think.

These new Macbook Pros are SO tempting to me for some reason, even though I don't need any of the improvements over the Macbook. I like the larger screen size, but mostly I'll be using it at work on a 19" monitor. I like having a real GPU, but if I get one, I'll be mostly giving up on PC gaming, so that's irrelevant. Everything else is the same once Core 2 gets dropped in.

Still (im)patiently waiting for my 2.33 GHz "glossy" with 160GB HD to ship! I ordered late on Tuesday, 10/24, it's scheduled to ship 10/31, and to arrive 11/7 - I called to update to "2 day shipping," which it now states on my "order status" page, but the expected arrival date didn't change (and I don't see the extra $15 estimated charge having been added). I've got the "order status" page on "speed dial" on my old 1 GHz TiBook!!!

When I ordered, the order page gave a "2-4 day shipping" and jumped to "3-5 day shipping" when doing any BTO additions - today, I notice that it says "1-3 day shipping" and it stays the same even if you add BTO additions!

Sure hope mine ships soon - I don't remember having this much nervous anticipation before my wedding! (Of course, all I'm going to be doing with my lappie is technogeek things! )

Well, money's not overly abundant but I couldn't resist... I bit the bullet and ordered one of these! 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB drive, matte screen. Living in Washington state I figured free shipping would probably be about as fast as the 2-day express.

Won't ship until 10/31 though. I DON'T WANNA WAIT!!!
