When someone get a model with a 200gb hard drive can you run HD Tach in Windows to benchmark the speed? My ordering one will depend on if they can keep up or come close to a 5400 rpm drive.
Just gave TNT UK a call. It will be delivered by 1st of November, that's Wednesday. This is torture. Who can wait 2 more days? I can't.
Mine is in the same shipment!!!!

anyway, has anyone here in europe get a sooner reception of a BTO MBP? because, the only new MBP that I had seen here was bought in an apple store

I called them 1 hour and 10 minutes ago. I MBP was shipped on friday. They told me to expect it on Wednesday because its still in transit.
They also told me that the laptop will arrive to the UK on wednesday so they'll deliver it the same day to Nottingham.

I thought your situation was different because you can't use Appletrack whereas me and Zic have exactly the same status on it.

n00b here, well, to posting anyways. I was waiting for the C2D mbps since August and following the goings on here on a daily basis. Thanks for the entertainment!
So, i'm now waiting for my mbp to ship:
2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM-2x1GB
100GB Serial ATA Drive@7200rpm
SuperDrive 8X
17 Widescreen Display (matte)
ordered 25th Oct.
I'm in the UK and the order is showing shipping on (or before) 8th of Nov. delivery by 15th Nov. NO FAIR!!!!! Anyone else choose a similar spec and had their order ship yet?? This is torture, i'm stuck using my old white iBook 600mHz after i sold my G4 PB 6 weeks ago!!!

My estimated delivery (1.nov) is from the appletrack. On the TNT tracking site there is no estimated delivery yet...dont know if that's good or bad...
My estimated delivery is from the apple site. tnt doesn't say anything about that.
ah i misunderstood you then...looks like our shipments are the same then...you'll get yours one day before me probably since you live closer to Holland (i think all or most TNT shipments to europe go through Holland - could be wrong though)
Mine shipped on the 26th with an estimated delivery of the 8th. However, the tracking info had an ETA of the 6th, and after it got on the plane this morning it's jumped to the 2nd, so I could get mine a week early!
